  1. Quickies ? Quickies ? Somewhere in the back of my mind😴 But you can't be talking about the signs, that kind of work takes effort. They look great !
  2. Very nice work. Really a labor of love, and yes they do grow way to fast.
  3. Stick to scrolling IT'S SAFER.
  4. Didn't mean to wip up a hornets nest ( or did I )... But i am reading and still thinking, as far as longevity well that's for someone under 70, and i saw 70 in the rear view mirror a few years back :-(
  5. Delta 40-694 or DeWalt 788 I have a warranty shop near me for both..Parts seem to be available for both ....the reviews say there the same.... Delta 5 year warranty QUESTION--- Is the DeWalt worth 80 dollars more, and if so why
  6. Real nice works, I agree the colored one stands out, just hope I don't see them in my dreams😨
  7. You did a real nice job on that sign and protected it well. I made a small sign for my shop door years back used treated wood and only paint but mine did not last to long😟
  8. I can't say for sure but there only steel, I leave a garden tool out and it gets rust the next day. Even in a garage Unless your tensioner has gone nuts it sounds like the metal got weak, was the package sealed.
  9. Learning something new everyday.. Think I will get the Delta and a can of yellow paint😉
  10. One other question. I hear a lot about quick blade change but almost nothing about just releasing to rethread ,that would seem more important , or am i missing something
  11. Thanks for the replys they helped, down here I have seen the RBI on Craigslist for 225. And yes I could get one... except after 15 years it's time for something different , don't need longevity I am 74 and sometimes I thing my brain in only ticking at 50 seconds a minute 😥 just looking to pass some time with the only hobby that I truly enjoy, I was hoping to get a saw below a delta.. done a lot of reading don't think so.
  12. I would like to know more or less how my old saw stacks up against the newer ones..I bought an RBI 220VS 20 years ago it did all I needed for 15 years and I had to sell it about 5 years ago but now I think want to get a new saw. I know back then it was a good saw, but how would it be compared to a new Delta 40-694 I know the Delta is not top line but still I am comparing it to a 20 year old saw Anyone have experience with both ? I will only be doing fret work which I enjoy on soft or ply wood , I have mobility problems now but it should be better then sitting around.
  13. You did a real nice job , and congratulations.
  14. IT COULD TAKE OFF !!!!!?ðŸ˜
  15. WELCOME, I'm new myself to village also not a puzzle man but but maybe I can give you something to think about. When I started I got hooked on one blade maker, there not all the same , hopefully someone may be able to help. That looks like real nice work
