  1. You and the wife made a great team , That's first class work all the way
  2. Great job. I think your being a little hard on yourself, I can't speak of others but many times there are mistakes in my projects ....but a funny thing most times I am the only one that knows it😂 From what I see you have have all the right to brag
  3. Had this discussion with the wife , she thinks we should fix the plumbing b4 I spend the money on a saw **%\$#%&&"+'*-&%& OK....... So there goes any chance at a new or recon. Yes I have looked for a month so I went back to the excalibur 19 inch, I offered he excepted 125.00 I was out to see it a few weeks ago so I know what I am buying PRO--. It's clean, high speed (3 speed belt change) it has no more vib. then my old RBI (, MAYBE LESS). I cut some wood different speeds it's quiet enough and I know a thing or 3 about machinery to judge it well made... Foot switch and light. Con -- about 15+ years old, no parts and heavy ( that may not be a con) . The big con ... The reason I walked away the first time , rethreading the blade .. the arm does not lift , my only experience is on my old saw the arm lift's you have room to see your next hole.. a couple of members tell me this will not be a problem you bend the blade and there is enough room.... I have to figure there is a way and hope to get use to it. It was also pointed out if I got it cheap enough and it does break I could almost get my money back parting it out, don't think it will come to that. At least starting tomorrow Iam not going to be saw less 😊😊😊😊
  4. WELCOME , I would think you have set a realistic goal and with the help you can get here you well even enjoy yourself. As a hobby your set now, as a business you will have to get into finishing, prices, what's likely to sell in your area, even advertising if only at your own Booth. You may already know all this if not ask and the help is here, post often with updates.
  5. Ditto to all above, I am also a newer member that received plenty of help already, It's the membership and the way SSV is run that all works so well 👥
  6. I use my tab a lot, picture opened fine. You are a blade collector,, have you ever used all of them ? With me scrolling is a hobby and I enjoy having more blades then I will most likely use, but my collection wasn't that big....I LIKE IT 🙆🙌
  7. Check your yellow pages for a molding manufacturer , or molding shop , the ones in my area also sell select lumber .
  8. Welcome ... This is the right place to get help or just pick up tips. Post pictures when you can we love sharing here
  9. Really Nice, I'd put in right on my shop door !
  10. Really nice job, over size projects are always a bear but Worth the extra work especially when they turn out like yours ðŸ‘
  11. Nice job, feel sorry for any mouse he catches 😾
  12. I can hardly wait to have a sawdust problem, that will mean I have a saw !
  13. I had already decided to wait and get a delta, I also tend to read and learn b4 jumping ..after the comments here I am glad to wait a bit longer. No doubt the DeWalt is everything it's owners say but I also feel I am paying for the name. As far as the parts issue yea Delta hurt them self's and it will take a while to gain the trust they had back, right now your looking at a 5 year warranty ( yes I know what warrantys are worth 😖) but it shows they may be trying . I would think it was the corporate VIP's and bean counters that started the problem because the tools have never been junk , I have used many without problems. Well that was a nice rant, now I'll go take my medication 😕 ðŸ˜
  14. GreatðŸ‘👠now the fun can begin. Looking forward to your review.
  15. It's a puzzle for kids it has to have a eye, 👌 I like it.. the nickel was a golden touch. 👠This could start a trend ........

  19. Very seldom do i ever read so many post that I agree with. At 74 I've been around sawdust since my father made my first toy. I am just getting back to scrolling after 6 years because I realized something was missing. Lord knows I have problems like everyone but I have to thankful I can sit and still use my hands and eyes to create enjoyment for my self and others, and get lost in the project for a few hour☺ right or wrong I put getting back to scroll work right up there with taking my meds. .for me scrolling has always been a hobby ,and making room for new work a small problem. I don't expect that will be the case now but I look forward to what ever time I can find. This forum one of 2 or 3 i ever joined has been a big help in many ways and I'll take the time to thank one and all..

  23. I had a space between two benches pretty much dead space . garbage can, or shop vac. Anyway I cut out two triangle from 3/4 ply made tops in my case only 16 inches wide a two inch centered hole for a pipe . Just nailed a 2x4 u notch to each bench and hung it there, I put toggle bolts on the bottom to lock it ,(two at each point on the triangle ) it held a two wheel grinder, 4 inch belt sander and a jig I used sometimes Don't know if I explained right but you get the idea, I would not say it's for production work but it allowed me to store three tool and yet have them ready. Never did anything fancy with the electric just plug & unplugged. Just another idea to kick around☕
  24. Really nice, they should sell like hotcakes
