  1. That's a nice looking project annd well done ! You could leave it at 5 but I would think most folks want to know the time, besides it's always time for a beer , is init😉
  2. Great work, keep them coming.
  3. They say it's the thought that counts, will you went far beyond that , I would like this better than the gold watch bit. Thanks for posting , That's super work considering the size.
  4. I'm with rjR😊 but that grenade man I'll put that on my wall . Nice job.
  5. Your all all most right😂 most units will not except vs but if you have a external motor belt drive like some of the older excalibur you can add a 1700 r p m moter that will convert to vs. as far as a foot control will it's not like your car were have inches of play to get and hold your speed, no doubt it would work ... But..
  6. That is a real work of art, first look I thought it was a sketch and very well done .thanks for look
  7. You did a beautiful job, a real pleasure to look at, thanks
  8. The way I see it yes the original may add value, That's if it is the original.. could have been replaced before your client got it, the real value is in the workmanship , so if this was 1859 and you made the grip would it be any better. I think you did great job and it's an original.
  9. My prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Now's the time for family and taking care of yourself.
  10. I'm not sure..... But I think he's back ðŸ‘
  11. Got me thinking also, just picked up and old saw never thought to check the wiring and plug, thanks for the post
  12. You did good work on your first project, not the easiest pattern you could have done , my first time was a outline of a duck 😞
  13. No doubt worth the trip but with the bridge out and living in Texas I'll have to pass. But good luck !
  14. WELCOME to the village, between being willing to help and looking to learn you should fit in fine😀
  15. That is really way out there, I like it, looks like a lot of fun and work to build.
  16. Back in grade school we learned arithmetic with a pencil and paper, the calculator did not exist then. Sometime later I learned to use one... What's that got to do with scrolling ? I'll tell you, about 3 weeks ago I got an old Ex cal. saw, got it running OK living with it quarks and did a few patterns just to try it out. I have about 15 years scrolling but it seems while I know what I'm doing I was in one spot like not using a calculator, give me a pattern with holes shape I'll cut them out I have seen the gallery here but never realy saw.. My wife liked a pattern looked simple enough and lot of you may know it just a horse head in a horse shoe. I hate to admit this but I had a hard time understanding what kept it together, then cutting it with lines going all over but not touching . (I believe this is called veining ? Up till now the most I did was on a leaf or something) at 3/4 done pattern is moving around. I've cut a lot of fret work but this was a first for me. It came out fine and I know I'll do more, but today patterns are like night and day. And you guys cutting them, well like I said I gained a new respect today, not because you can cut it but because you understand the pattern, can modify it alter, mix ECT. Even with my experience it will be a good while before Iam that confident. And yes, using the best saw you can afford is good advice Think I'll go cut something 😇
  17. Dentist- Extraction. Now you ruined my dayðŸ˜ðŸ˜
  18. Back when ......we just called ourselves Jack of all trades, master of none... I also draw the line at sewing myself up 😣 and to be fair I guess I did master my trade ( or came darn close) But I know were your coming from, trouble is ( I think) there is too much demand on our time now days and everything needed to be done yesterday😦
  19. Hard to best perfection. Great job !
  20. I like them and it's a lot more work then shows, and so much better when.it's fun. Thanks for sharing

  22. Nice job thanks for sharing.
  23. Luck at the show. But both of you just take it easy and try to enjoy your self's now .
  24. I happen to know the name, You got a nice solid saw that should handle anything you need. Congratulations.
  25. You may be right but I would think the show people are only interested in the money they make, why would they care if a vender paid taxes ? As far as being called back I think that may be nothing more then computer screw-up , they leave it up to a computer geek to decide who gets in and only the programmer know what he uses to sort requests, I wonder if the show people care so long as they sell the space. As far as there remarks to you, well we both know there are stupid people doing jobs there not suited for.... It's the loss not yours 😊
