  1. A Harvey Byler pattern adapted to a key/leash holder, Iggy style. 3/4 poplar, #3 Pegas MGT, finished with Watco Natural and spray on shellac.Going into a kids room hence the cool font for the name.
  2. Will I see it in the dining room?
  3. I'm working on my second Octopus, this one as a leash/key holder. Knew I shouldn't have posted a pic of the first one. That's why if I ever do this one, no pics. lmao
  4. I do the BACON one as well.
  5. The holy trinity of BBQ
  6. About 8" in diameter, finished with a light coat of Watco Danish Oil. 1/2" BB #3 Pegas MG. Pattern was just an image from Internet that I grabbed from some site and sized to fit.
  7. You want embarrassing moment? Ok, I was working as a maint mechanic at a small production facility and took over a repair started by someone else. I should add this was in the days before lockout/tagout. I finished the small repair, turned the breaker back on and nothing. I checked a few things and decided it might need the electrician. He came down, took a quick look and then just plugged the machine into the outlet on the breaker box. Took awhile to live that one down.
  8. You are a scrolling machine.
  9. A whole new level is barely enough to describe what you did. Maybe a drum sander might be my next toy.
  10. I didn't bother using a micrometer on them but I just opened my first pack from Denny, and have noticed they seem to be a just that proverbial hair larger. Will still go thru a #60 drilled hole. Still like and already ordered and received my 2nd gross from Denny.
  11. Octopus must be the coming thing. Someone just asked me to cut on, but she wanted as one piece and not a puzzle.
  12. Got $100 for it and donated that plus a bit more.
  13. I have done 4 different tree of life patterns and you sir did very well. I can't wait to steal your idea of a picture to put behind. I've filled with epoxy but never really liked the result.
  14. Looks like we both started about the same time with a Wen, and then at some point we both updated to the Delta. Maybe you are a brother from another mother.
  15. The Yorkie is a Harvey Byler pattern. You may have gotten it from Scott or Wooden Teddy Bear. In either case, looks good.
  16. I knew I needed to find a different outlet for my enjoyment in woodworking, so bought the Wen. My first was really bad. I knew nothing about how to cut. Hadn't even watched Steve Good's intro series. Pinned blade that came from with the saw. Discovered later that it was a #9. I've since upgraded to a Delta and have a bit more understanding of blades and how to cut. My latest completed project. I have a 4-5 other not puzzles in various stages of completion. I like the puzzles because I can finish in a a of hours. I suffer senior onset attention deficit disorder.
  17. Finished the unicorn and started the service dog yesterday. Finished the service and just because I'm not just a one trick pony started another tree of life today. Probably a couple of days before that is finished.
  18. I got that same type of saw. I use Pegas #3 Modified Geometry for this type of puzzle. Glad you were able to get cutting again.
  19. If you are interested here is where I obtain the patterns. https://www.woodcraftbyscott.com/collections/scroll-saw-patterns
  20. We have had rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow so far today. I got 4 different pieces completed today. I think I see a pattern.
  21. In case Scott,(Iggy), doesn't see this he and many of use 3/4" poplar.
  22. You just confirmed that I am not a Zombie. While i enjoy cutting these puzzles I have done a fair number in cherry, oak, and birch for friends and family. I do make the poplar to sell at craft fairs and donate to various rescue and veteran organizations. Matt, well done, that Shih-tzu is a little tricky.
  23. Ordered Thursday, delivered Saturday. Doesn't get much better than that, and if you need it quicker than that, you didn't plan correctly. Well done, sir.
  24. I've had this same thing happen and a little dab from an Elmer's glue stick is easily enough to hold it down while you finish your cut.
  25. Already in the mail, well done sir. BTW, the Dayton area is where I want us to relocate. My wife however is another story. I hate where we currently live, but love my wife, so...
