  1. I have my dust ctrl setup beneath my saw with a pvc fitting and small fan - seems to work fine for me. The $50 price tag on that thing doesn't seem high for someone that needs it
  2. Thanks @JTTHECLOCKMAN I have squared the blade as best I can - it is 90 degrees to table top However, there is still an off cut as mentioned that I've not been able to reduce or remove. I've posted this in other wood working forums and for the type of word I do, this is an acceptable offset allowance
  3. I've asked this question in other forums quite a while back. The responses I got were very similar to the ones posted here. I use mine primarily on the right side of the blade - because I have quite a bit more room on the right side of my saw a Delta 36-725 contractors saw - which I absolutely am happy with - had a craftsman and upgraded. The delta has an extended side on the right side of the saw so it feels "natural" for the fence to be there normally. I do sometimes move the fence to the opposite side of the blade for specific cuts such as bevel cuts near the end of a board because my blade tilts right. Rather than flip the board and run the risk of tear out it make sense to cut from the opposite side HOWEVER! One issue is that my cuts are never 100% at a 90 or any degree - there is always a slight off cut - usually it's about 1/64 off every 24 inches. This is due to fence alignment, blade alignment and previous cuts. I have no problem with the 1/64" over 24 inches for myself and the work I do. When I move the fence to the other side, I have to compensate for that measurement or just do a little extra sanding or trimming on the piece depending what I'm making
  4. Those are a great set of clocks - thanks for sharing them I'm particular to the military ones but the profession ones are nice as well
  5. I just scan them on my scanner - I've not had an issue with any of the scanned images - I've now saved hundreds of scanned images from magazines and books over the summer
  6. Very nice cuts - thanks for sharing them
  7. That's a very nice looking project and glad you saved it - thanks for sharing it
  8. I have tried 6 blades so far from various mfgs - I can say that I now use Freud exclusively. So much so that I use them in my Miter saw, circiular and my table saw. Works great for me and the kerf is very thin on some of mine
  9. I have the same one as @sparkey - got it from Lowes. It's a very reasonable priced saw and does what I need it to do - I'm using it less these days, but it is still setup and ready for action.
  10. I have a Delta 36-725, I upgraded from an old craftsman - both were direct drives and since I have no experience with belt driven saws, I can only say that my Delta is a fantastic tool. I've had for 2 years now, and after tuning it, I can do any task I've needed. It's very quiet, and so far has cut everything I've put through it. From: Logs to plywood to hard wood. From dadoes to miter sawing it delivers very accurate cuts (within 1/32). For the price is was and remains the perfect table saw for my needs.
