  1. Yeppers. I thought about running a small nail through a couple of spots on each level, but the glue is holding tight.
  2. Very much so!
  3. A quick cut this weekend. Steve Good pattern, 1/2" ply I had leftovers of. Minwax Honey stain. It was a pretty quick cut, easy assembly.
  4. ::salute:: Nicely done.
  5. Nicely done!
  6. I have a not-quite-hateful relationship with spirals. Need to use them more often to get all the kinks worked out and let my fingers get used to them. The tree trunk he's holding on to only has about 5 or 6 holes itself, each individual cut there is long and twisty. I was just guestimating on the raccoon, but I've done wordart that had more holes than this guy. Thank you sir!
  7. Found this little guy over on Etsy ("DXFpage") and thought it would be a fun cut. Not too many pilot holes, maybe 25 or so, but.....dang. All that fur is just jagged lines and thin margins! So...yep, DEFINITELY a fun cut! Double-cut from 3/8" bbply, Pegas #1MG blades (two, I think). Its been a busy couple of weeks so it took me a lot longer (calendar-wise) than I thought it would, but probably close to 10-12 hours tops. The project will be stained dark, I'm thinking Minwax Ebony or Provincial, and I'm thinking about a couple of backer options...may just go with a flat ply backer, stained a lighter shade to contrast. I have a bunch of old pallet wood that would look cool, but I think it'll end up too dark even with a light oak stain. We'll see.
  8. Man, that was back in the day when they designed sexy cars! VERY nicely cut!!!
  9. Awesome!!
  10. Love the pawprint!
  11. Very nice! Font reminds me of the "country kitsch" stuff my wife finds at Hobby Lobby. What is the font name, if you don't mind me asking?
  12. Awesomeness!
  13. Dang, that's a lot of scrolled pieces! Awesomeness!!!
  14. Yep, a Steve Good design. It was in his newsletter a week or two ago.
  15. If you're drilling, just use one or two sizes up from 1/4". I just cut the holes with the scroll saw like all of the other negative spaces I removed. Worked out fine for me.
  16. Cut this Steve Good pattern for my wife to take to the office. Apparently, mid-October is way too soon to bring Christmas decorations in. LOL 1/4" bbply, Pegas #1MG blades. Backer/posts stained Minwax Provincial, pattern/numbers are Minwax Natural. I ended up scrolling all of the holes, even the peg holes, cutting ON the line instead of just skirting inside it. My drill bits could use some sharpening or replacing, the 1/4 for some reason tends to chew up the backside of the project, unless its heavy lumber. Worked out just fine that way, the 1/4" oak dowel was a snug fit with no need for any extra sanding.
  17. Nice!
  18. Eh, not much to say about the musical tastes of a guy who's music abilities consist of pushing "play" on a CD player, listens to audiobooks while scrolling, and plays Swedish heavy metal (SABATON!!!! \m/ ) at work more because its ALL about military history than for the deathguitars. So my opinion on Lenon, combined with $5, will get you a very small cup of coffee these days. LOL But I will still show respect to a well-cut scroll pattern.
  19. Would've taken me twice that, so yeah, I'm still impressed!!!!
  20. Never was much of a fan of his music, his politics, or the man himself, but dang if that's not a great cut!
  21. Awesome! That B17 requires bigger pedals....
  22. You cut THAT in an hour?!? I'd be barely past his hat!!!! Looks awesome!
  23. Nice! You should cut masks to glue on them...
  24. Two paws up! (sorry...bad "Beauty and the Beast" pun)
