  1. I thought it looked familiar! I may have already snagged it, if not I'll rummage through the pattern library again! Thanks for bringing it up again!
  2. Dang, that's some serious cutting! Very well done! Did you use spirals on all the petal details or a straight blade? Also....jealous me wants to know where you got the pattern...
  3. Nicely cut! I tried a self-portrait awhile back, but after my computer crashed with the pattern, my scroll saw started throwing bearings and the wood caught on fire, I figured I'd better call it quits.
  4. I have that same transistor radio in my computer room. It was my wife's grandfather's radio. Still works!
  5. Okeedokee....THIS. IS. AWESOME!!
  6. That train....dang! The 2A one I've eyeballed but haven't worked up the courage (so I'm doing some other complex patterns instead...yay, logic). LOVE LOVE LOVE the "Faith" wall hanger, and the Mr&Mrs one!
  7. Sass-quatch! Love it!
  8. Never was much of a sportsy person....I can usually recognize the shape of the McGuffin used in whatever sport (volleyball, soccer ball, football, baseball, puck, etc), but that's about the extent of my knowledge. I played backyard versions of most, but it wasn't until I got introduced to running that I really became "athletic". I can put one foot in front of the other, I discovered. Generally an 8-minute-mile pace, but used to be able to hold that for hours. Wasn't in the competitive leagues (took home two trophys...in races where I was one of two people in my age group), but until my knees gave out, I loved running. Still miss it. Tried to pick it up again during the quarantine, but nope, knees are still adamant that it ain't gonna happen. Archery is another sport/hobby the family and I have picked up. GREAT upper-body workout, y'all! And cheaper than firearms....you can retrieve your arrows after a round (provided you can hit the target and don't lose them in the weeds). Cut these after the wife and daughter got really into the sport.
  9. Nice!
  10. Lookin' good! This one's got a bit of everything....lettering, straight lines, curves, and corners! Welcome to the obsess....er....hobby!
  11. This was somewhere between 1/2" and 3/4", but usually I use the 3/16" ply from Lowes. If its a pattern I really like, I'll stack-cut it in case some of the edges start to peel back on the bottom layer.
  12. My laser printer is B&W, the inkjet is color....so....most of my patterns, regardless of how they look on-screen, are B&W. Or shades of grey, if I make a pattern red/pink and still print it on the laser printer cuz its cheaper. I have a magnifying lamp near my saw so it doesn't really matter which one I do, I'm usually able to follow the pattern either way.
  13. Wasn't as hard as I was expecting. Just lots of corners and feeding the wood to the blade slowly.
  14. Another H.Botas pattern. Some of the cuts are razor thin, the branches, for instance, I would run my blade up one side on the first pass, turn, then coming down the other side there were a lot of places where I was just shaving the kerf a little bit wider. Used Pegas #3MG blades, 3/4" whiteboard from Lowes.
  15. Love the pattern! Where'd you find it? Very nicely cut, as well!
  16. Friggin' AWESOME!
  17. Yarrr, mousey!
  18. Maybe some powder burn and a saber slash as well....
  19. Yep, I've seen different grain patterns in whiteboards....I'm not a tree expert by any means but when rummaging through for a board, I'll find myself thinking "dang, that one looks like pine...that one's definitely NOT pine..." I figger its all the random lumber they have left laying around after a pallet is pieced out and someone forgets to label the leftovers. All soft wood, though. I haven't been lucky enough to find a maple or oak board stuck in there yet. LOL
  20. Another H.Botas pattern that tickled my funnybone. 3/4" whiteboard, several Pegas #3MG blades. Lot more holes than I thought there would be at first glance, but it was a fun cut nonetheless.
  21. Without seeing the original pattern, it still looks like a nose to me. Nicely cut!
  22. Looks like an Alex Fox pattern.
  23. Love this one!
  24. Excellent!
