  1. They look nice and being red they should go faster
  2. Jerry, I can understand being a bit P'd off as it is sold at a certain size and is under (Highly illegal in Aust.) They probably cut a 2400 (8') x 1200 (4') sheet and so have a allow for waste eg saw kerf.
  3. I like script type fonts to cut. If the design calls for a printed font, look for the least fancy. The added bonus is they are usually the easiest to read.
  4. Love that Frank, I can see you being inundated with orders if that was hung in a salon or Barbers.
  5. Nice pattern Don
  6. Excellent job
  7. I gave up on the jewellers/metal cutting blades because of that. Obviously I wasn't doing something right.
  8. Looking good, With two wood workers, nobody to complain about the dust being bought into the house
  9. Very nice Rob, Love the use of the purple card
  10. I love their description, I think it can only be one or the other, "Laser or rustic handmade" Laser Cut Wood Christmas Ornaments Large Round Engraved Wooden Reindeer Snowman MERRY CHRISTMAS Rustic Handmade Christmas Tree Decoration Heaps of ideas here, Don't know if any are free patterns though. https://www.pinterest.com.au/clootsh/figuurzaag-patronen/?lp=true
  11. A simple one here http://www.va-holzkunst.de/ https://www.scrollsawartist.com/scroll-saw-patterns/lighted-projects/schwibbogen-arches/#ty;pagination_contents;/scroll-saw-patterns/lighted-projects/schwibbogen-arches/page-2/
  12. Very nice, I have to agree, cutting stars is a pain in the proverbial
  13. To notch for pattern No 1 actually for any pattern. Nice and crisp. It'll look even better when cut out.
  14. I used acrylic satin house paint on all of my toys. I'd then top coat it with lacquor to give it a nice shine and a little more protection. I used to get the sample pot's but as production increased I bought 4litre cans and decanted them into 500ml containers. Much cheaper purchasing that way.
  15. Condolences to you and the family Wayne. I like that pattern you have done a great job cutting and framing it.
  16. Very nice Jeff. A great set.
  17. I have had the same thing happen with a pkt of spirals. Can't remember which brand, but either FD or Pegas after #3 I ditched the remaining 9. My heart just couldn't take any more surprises.
  18. Love the space and set up. I don't think I'll post any pics of my shed now
  19. Congratulations. If anybody said they were not proud of such an achievement, I think they'd be telling porkies.
  20. Glad you'll be OK Ladders, considering that they are totally inanimate objects with no dangerous moving parts are one of the most dangerous tools in the shed. About 10 years ago I broke my ankle (A forking forklift ran over it). In the hospital ward there were 8 beds, I had one, the other 7 had blokes that had fallen from ladders. Injuries varied from damaged vertebrae, to broken arms.
  21. John, I used to make humorous clock faces and the way I did them was, print the picture onto a light 90 - 120 gsm photo paper, then run them through a laminator. If you are placing your cutting in a frame, you wont need to fix the flag, just sit it in the frame with the cutting on the top and fit the back.. My two bob's for what it's worth cheers
  22. Try cutting with a blade put in backward. I can tell you from experience you don't get to far
  23. From one John to another, I agree with the tape. I use blue but have had very good results with the green. Depends on what the prices are of the various colours when I need a few rolls
  24. Truly nice
  25. Any new tool is a tool worth having. Have fun with the saw.
