  1. Finally finished. My daughter preferred the 'brown' backer for this piece. Grateful thanks to @Helder Botas for his incredible generosity and skill, it's much appreciated Sir and I hope I did it justice. 3mm B/B, piece of laminate flooring for the backer, Niqua #3 reverse blade, Oak frame made myself.
  2. Great Gift !!
  3. Beautiful work, from both of you. !!
  4. I have a pyrography machine 'Peter Childs' and find something like this that holds very fine tips probably your best bet. I believe one called RazorTip is popular in the USA but here's a page that may be of interest. https://craftandleisure.com/best-wood-burning-tools-pyrography-pens-buyers-guide-1020/
  5. Not on your Nellie !!! I have absolutely 'NO' painting skills and putting me in charge of a brush is the quickest way to ruin a project.
  6. I have seen this pattern cut many, many times but have to say that this is one of the best ... That wood is a brilliant choice for this !
  7. Welcome to the Village, I think you'll fit in just fine. !
  8. You are busier than Santa himself. !!
  9. Unfortunately Tony took another fall this week which has laid him up so I've not been able to get to my workshop. Hoping to have it done before Christmas though otherwise our daughter is a gift short.
  10. Aaargh, so frustrating, I know that face but can't remember his name. A movie actor, more a supporting actor, American. @#%
  11. Personally, I'd cut this as a 'fretwork' piece and put a backer on it. I'd use a #3 blade as it's my go to blade and I can cut most things with it.. It looks awfully 'fragile' to have as a 'cut out' piece to me. JMHO
  12. Beautiful as usual. The things you do for the ladies !! Stay safe and well !!
  13. Nice work on all three !! Glad you decided to join in. May this be the first of many 'showings' . xx
  14. Beautiful !
  15. That's really pretty !
  16. Brilliant !!
  17. Or if you have a bandsaw, that might be easier for the 'centre' piece.
  18. I had a gorgeous pattern of a Robin done for me by @Helder Botas for which I am incredibly grateful. Fresh off the saw. Yet to have a finish applied and framed. It's a gift from my daughter to her Mother in Law. I've just sent her this picture, keep your fingers crossed that she likes it.
  19. Welcome to the Village, Enjoy
  20. Aww, thank you. It's an old photo I must admit, but if ever you fancy a visit we are here. We have a fair few of our dogs in Bonnie Scotland. https://foxfold.co.uk/
  21. They have Marg, and all are settled and happy with their new owners. Got sent this today.
  22. A gorgeous gift. I have that pattern and it's so, so popular among new parents and Grandparent. !
  23. Brilliant. The cutting and the 57yrs.. Well done and Congratulations.
  24. I have 2 cats myself and far too many dogs.
  25. Nah, I don't work that quick !! Been doing bits of an evening for the last month or so, but finally managed to get some quality time this last week to get the cutting finished and put an oil on them all
