  1. I finally finished this piece for my Son in Law as a gift. Tony helped with the frame. Now I'm having doubts, I see so many flaws. An honest opinion please,, would you be happy to receive this ? Edited to add that this pattern was created by @grampa and found in the library.
  2. Looks amazing. !!
  3. Ooh, nice view, lovely stall. How lucky are you to be able to do such things.? We are still in Lockdown, but mustn't complain, the rate of infection is coming down so freedom is on the horizon for next spring.
  4. Welcome to the Village Jennifer, it's a great place with lovely, knowledgeable people always willing to help. Sorry to hear you have health issues with your pet, hope all resolves itself. Went to your FB page, your work looks good. Lucky you to be able to get together with family in July, that's a great photo. I envy you, I've not seen my kids since last March as my husband is on the 'At Risk' register and we daren't chance it. We do see them regular on Facetime though, and that's a joy.
  5. That looks great,, nice cutting. Xmas has been cancelled in my house though. Won't take the risk with Tony's health, so we've got all the kids to get Facetime/Zoom and we're having dinner together that way on our dining table. !
  6. What Dan said !!!
  7. Oh Wow. Now I know why I do Fretwork. !!
  8. My only reason for using spray and placing directly onto wood and wiping with white spirit is that I've found that the pattern literally falls off. I cannot grip with my fingers, so find getting the 'end' of any tape, taking hold and peeling it off more or less impossible. Doing it the way I do means I have no problem.. Simples.
  9. I agree,, try Dafonts. Not sure what you mean by 'sturdy',
  10. Must admit, that's what I did and it worked great until !! I reached for a blade, stood on the cat and tipped forward !! The whole lot got knocked all over my bench !! I won't tell you how long it took me to sort that little mess out. I now use those taller bottles with a top on
  11. Welcome back, nice to see you found your MoJo again.
  12. This was done by a friend on another site, but I thought people might like to see it as I think it's stunning, and a brilliant idea.
  13. Welcome back Paul. I think that piece is stunningly beautiful. You have lost none of your 'touch' with a saw. !!
  14. I shall wait with interest to see what you think. I too just spray my pattern and put directly onto my wood. When finished I wipe with white spirit and the whole thing just falls off, usually in one piece. I'd like to know if shelf liner comes off just as easily, especially with a piece of intricate fretwork
  15. Wow, what a friend to have. He does live up to his 'name' doesn't he. ?
  16. That's a lovely piece, beautifully cut. !
  17. Brown for me.
  18. Beautiful. xxx
  19. All you have to do is ask, and Santa will bring it. At least that was what I was told
  20. As my mother always said. ''There's nowt as strange as folk'' Must admit to never trying the puzzles, I'm not good with thicker wood
  21. That's brilliant and your mum will treasure it and 'look through' the window each and every day to see the memories that lay within. !!
  22. Great work as is your norm. I love them all. !!
  23. Super cute !!
  24. Great display. Glad you had a good day, you deserve it after all that work. Beautiful !!
