    That's funny. I do the same. I can't wait for them to start to get dull . . . then my cuts are MUCH MORE IMPROVED. It's like ... 2a.m. with a piece of wood. Or - the blade just gets better and better after last call !!! hahahahaha

    Working on that Challenger now .. have the base done in walnut .. scored a BEAUTIFUL piece of MAPLE that I will be using for the car/clock .. can't wait.

    Yeah .. it's a burl walnut I get locally . about 15 bucks a piece .. Most pieces are about 4-6 inches thick and vary in length and width. I have gotten a bunch of them that area about 10 inches wide and 12 inches or so long. I resaw them as I need 'em. Same thing - and - same piece that the guitar/pics were made out of. So .. I get a lot out of each piece. Happy to share if anyone wants some .. and just pays the shipping ..

    Thanks to Kevin for giving me the image and confidence and help to make this - and - to the help everyone else gave out. So - my son got promoted and is now "the man" just under the owner of the company. So - he's still going out on calls in his truck - BUT - he's got a desk. I left space on one side in case he wants one of those pens you mount on name plates. Or his card holder. With the virus I have not been able to visit him or his work. So - here it is - and next up - a Dodge Challenger. I've put both patterns in the library up here. As with building fishing rods - I share all.

You'll want to get SOME cutting in once in a while . hahahahaha Getting ready to get my 10 year old grand daughter on the saw a bit more. She's on a tear making little hearts and birds out of my scraps. Good thing I have TWO saws. Well .. those all LOOK GREAT ..

    You see many drum Sanders for sale on Craigslist. Some are very cheap. There's a Delta for 400 bucks I have been watching, and it's a 36 incher with lots of new belts. They work great - otherwise I use the one at the club. I also have the dewalt 13 inch planer and a delta 8 inch jointer. But boards have to be a minimum of 13 inches the manuals say - for those. Watch the ads. Someone is always selling something.

    Those are REALLY cool .. Question - When making a trivit out of wood - that's for putting HOT stuff on, right ? What do you do to keep the wood from discoloring or burning when you put .. say .. a hot pan of spaghetti sauce on it, or something. (I chose the sauce just to see if I could spell it right hahhahaha) .... Being in wine country (Sonoma County, California - which is COUNTY ON FIRE country now) I make shapes and put wine corks in them .. afraid to have hot stuff sit on the wood.

    great work - and - I like the take you did on the guitars up on top. I'm a guitar nut. I'm getting ready to make one in layers - and - hoping it turns out that nice. VERY NICE.
