  1. We’ve been -30C which is -22F the last couple days. That doesn’t include the wind chill which makes it close to -40C. Still go out for a long hike in the back 40 with the dogs everyday. It’s really quite nice when you dress for it.
  2. I think it looks great. Well done.
  3. Really like the look of this coaster. Great design. Well done.
  4. Very nicely done Dick. I like cutting bamboo also. For scrolling projects I buy cutting boards that are made from bamboo, even the dollar store sells them.
  5. I have this problem too, especially in the winter the house is very dry. Recently I looked into a solution and found out that you need to print regularly so the ink doesn’t dry out. The other thing you could do is pull out the ink cartridge and with a damp paper towel wipe where the ink comes out then dry it with a dry paper towel and put it back in the printer. I did this the other night, had to do it three times and it worked the printer was printing perfectly.
  6. Made this a couple of years ago. I forget the designer for the box, but the sleigh and reindeer was from one of Steve Good’s patterns.
  7. Thank you for this information, I read the article too. I happen to have a project I want to do and I want to use Marine plywood however it’s expensive. I just googled my Home Depot and they don’t have Sande plywood unless they carry it under a different name. Maybe we can’t get it in Canada.
  8. Hi Barb, I really like the intarsia pieces you’ve been making. To have the glitter stick I wonder if Mod Podge would work I believe it dries clear or even Paint Medium I’m sure that also dries clear. I’ve never tried it but Mod Podge and Paint Medium have glue in them.
  9. I don’t know what sande plywood is, but I use Baltic birch plywood paint all sides except the bottom. I use acrylic paints. I don’t seal the edges and haven’t had the problem you are experiencing.
  10. I had the same thing a few years ago but instead of a magnifying glass it was a magnifying Mirror. I had left it on the counter in the bathroom the sun was shining on it reflecting back on the bathtub and the bathtub started to smoke. I too am glad I was home that day.
  11. Hi BadBob I have done it and it worked great. One side was four letters and the other side was six letters. I lined up the pattern so the top letters matched on each side and put an oval under the shorter name. I’m sure you could put any design under the short word, as long as both sides are equal in height and width.
  12. I agree with everything @Dak0ta52 has said, I also had a 16” and the arm did not move. I bought a 30” a few years ago and I love it. I do cut fairly big projects, it’s nice not to be limited in the projects I choose.
  13. Of course I remember you. You were very encouraging, knowledgeable and I was always in awe of your projects. I’m glad you came back.
  14. @JTTHECLOCKMAN Hi John, A few years ago I believe you were looking for a train project. If you hadn’t found one check out foreststreetdesigns.com look under the train patterns.
