I've had my Dewalt for about a year now and haven't done any maintenance on it, except waxing the table. It stills runs very good with no problems. I do remember seeing a tutorial here about how to care for the Dewalt's. Anyone have it handy?
My uncle and I made those back in the mid 90's. He sold them at Flea Markets. We had a pear shape one, a full heart, half heart for the wall, I think a full circle and a half circle. I also made some round ones into wishing wells. They sold good. We mostly used Cedar.
My version of the Santa truck by Steve Good. I didn't care for the reindeer on the side but didn't want to leave it blank. The wife printed out the words on her Cricut. I have a couple more in the works. One made from BB ply that the wife wants to paint and another made from old grey pallet wood. Man this Maple was hard to cut! I have cut Maple before but it was't this hard to cut. I tried several different kinds of blades. Maybe it is Hard Maple? Is Hard Maple actually harder to cut than Soft Maple?
That is awesome! Let me ask you this... for all of the small holes, did you use a spiral? I am in the middle of cutting out a Santa and started off using a spiral for the small holes but quickly switched to a flat blade.
I printed that a little bit ago myself. I didn't care for the red backer on Steve's site. But now that I have seen yours, the red looks good. I plan on using Maple for the truck like you did but will probably also cut one out of Walnut.
Very nice nice cutting by the way!
I like it! I thought about doing that pattern. I like that Steve has the Christmas tree in the bed, but was't sure about the red background that he had.
oops, that was a slightly different pattern that I was referring to.
Thanks Kevin,, I'm giving him this one for free but I stacked cut 2 so I have another that I can put together and hopefully get some money out of it! LOL
Thanks! That's what I was going for with the brass looking Chicago screws and chain. I thought about some kind of fringe or material hanging down off of it,, I'm sure that there is a name of what I'm talking about.
Thank you,, I often wonder how different my life would have been if I would have gave in to that recruiter that was chasing me my senior year of high school!
