  4. Thanks Bobby, thanks Les!

  6. Thanks Harry,, where were you about 10 hours ago? LOL
  7. Made this for a co-worker to give to his wife. Cherry for the top part and Walnut for the base. It is still drying in the pic. It will need one, maybe two more coats. I was going to round off the edges of the base, but my router broke. All comments welcome, good or bad.
  8. Thanks for the blade info guys.
  9. I can't do spirals either. But I will try the method listed above. Where do you buy your FD NS blade from?
  10. I have had that same table for about 25 years. It has its pro's and con's.
  11. You took the words right out of my mouth!
  12. My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours. It takes some practice to get the brand just right. About half of the time I have to sand the brand off and try again. I went with the cheaper brand that you use a propane torch to heat up,, I have wondered if the electric would have worked better. I bought mine thru the Rockler website. I think that it is a third party that sells thru them. Mine was $75 about 4 years ago.
  13. I have a 12' x 22' shop. It started out as a 12' x 14'. When I added 8' to the length of it I cut out a doorway which is about in the middle. I have the old part, the 12' x 14' insulated on the walls and ceiling and have a window a/c unit in it. On the doorway separating the two rooms I have a clear shower curtain, it may sound funny but there is a 20° difference between the 2 rooms. I know that my "rigged contraption" doesn't help you in your situation, but it may give you some kind of idea.
  14. Nope,, I wouldn't have even attempted it! LOL But it came out very nice.
  15. I like it! Don't remember seeing that pattern on Steve Good's site.
  16. That is very nicely done! I love flags and Eagles. I have one of each tattooed on my arm.
  17. I like it! It's on my list of things to try.
  18. I might give these a try. As it is, when cutting bigger pieces I have the saw throat to deal with, my belly, and the current mag/light. With these I would only need to worry about the throat and my belly being in the way!
  19. You would think that I would learn that! Now I have another guy wanting 2 of the Angels.
  20. Just the angels and cross/heart didn't look complete. I added the Walnut and cut the cross out in it. Looks better this way in my opinion.
  21. Very cool! I want to do one of these scenery patterns so bad. Approx how long did it take to cut?
  22. Thanks Scrap!
  23. He must of thought so too,, he bought them both today. Thanks.
  24. Thanks!
  25. Thanks Marg! We are about 98% finished with the kitchen. I still have to do a tile backsplash.
