  1. Love the PP! Well done. I am curious though. Could you elaborate on the equipment/method you use to make the frames? They always look good and I'd like to try it. Good luck on the surgery. Hope all goes well! Steve
  2. I really like the theme you've chosen. The execution is exceptional. Thanks for sharing. Steve
  3. Very nice work!
  4. That's my first scroll saw but I think mine was labelled "Craftsman". Nice video. Steve
  5. Really impressive! Love the aircraft topic.
  6. I'm with Rockytime. I miss the ease of getting to the forums since I don't visit them all. Change for the sake of change is not in my playbook. The new look is OK but keep the forums tab on the top page for those that want it. Just my $.02. Steve
  7. That is very creative. Your granddaughter will enjoy that!
  8. Thanks for the reply. I actually have used four coats of blond shellac, dipped and dried. Multiple sprayed coats of lacquer, same result. Haven't tried poly yet, so it's next.
  9. Hello. I am doing some 3D ornaments and birdhouses. I've used walnut, red oak, cherry, maple, and butternut so far and they seal and finish fine with both shellac and lacquer. My issue is; I cannot get basswood to do anything but soak up the finish, no sheen, no shine, nothing. Does anyone have success finishing basswood? Thanks, Steve
  10. That is one nice project! WOW!

  13. I like it but then I'm an airplane hobbyist! Nice cutting.
  14. Sorry for the dumb question but what is DO?
  15. Thanks for the replies.
  16. Couple of beginner questions. When cutting a vein in a project do you change blade size? Second and probably more important, when you end a vein cut how do you extricate the blade? Back it out or stop and remove the blade? Thanks for your time. Steve
  17. Love the box. Beautiful! I also like the cat and bowtie drawer pull suggestions. I like to use ebony for the pulls, just my preference. Nice work!
  18. Just to add. When I need increased open time for repeat positioning when making model airplanes I prefer 30 minute epoxy. LOL, I've used most of those glues. Guess I'm a collector of sorts.
  19. Beautiful work! Especially like the animals. Thanks for sharing. Steve
  20. Hairy and needs a manicure!
  21. I think I would stick with a drop of thin CA and light clamping until it sets. Just my $.02. Steve
  22. Got mine yesterday. It is bright and works well. Thanks for the tip.
  23. Nice work! I haven't heard any cussin' from here!
