  1. Absolutely Magnificent! Where did you get the pattern from if I might ask? Dick
  2. That's an awesome job! It's always good to keep the "Little Woman" Happy and to get a gift made so quickly! My wife always used to comment on my Huge pile of scrap wood. I set her straight about that by telling her "That's Not a Pile of Scrap, That is a pile of Projects that haven't been made yet!" Dick
  3. I've been busy making up a bunch of Steve Good's patterns the last few day and I'm loving it. I also have a Huge amount of requests for them. Dick
  4. Personally, I think that you did a Fantastic Job on both the cutting and the coloring! I would be proud to do a job like that and to give it away! Dick
  5. Danny, I just used High Gloss Rust-Oleum Spray paint so that it would withstand the weather on my front porch wall where it is mounted. The material is 5mm thick RevolutionPly which is a Primed material that is used for under layment for flooring. It cuts like a dream, has minimal fuzzies on the bottom of the board and the wood is strong enough to support small cut outs so that they don't break off as you are continuing to cut out the rest of the project! Cost at most lumber yards is about $20 to $25 for a 4' X 8' sheet. I'm sold on it and I don't forsee me buying any more Baltic Birch Plywood! Dick
  6. I spent some well deserved time at my Scroll saw cutting out a Steve Good Pattern for Me! I am tickled pink with the way it turned out! I just wish the the photo would have showed off the stars better! Thank you Steve Good for always providing such Awesome Patterns! Dick
  7. Thank you so much everyone! I appreciate your feedback and compliments! Dick

  10. I have a Nephew that is celebrating his Retirement next weekend after 30 Years of Service. So I wanted to make him a "Special" gift. Well, I chose an Eagle pattern Janevski for that gift. I somehow managed to accidentally reduce the size from 11" X 14" down to 6 3/4 X 9" which mad the cutting a bit more difficult to do, but I love the way it turned out. The size fit a beautiful scrap of Aromatic Cedar Plywood that I have been saving for quite a few years. I just got done gluing the layers together. Everyone that has seen it absolutely Love it, so I am sure that my nephew will do the same! Thanks Janevski for the Awesome idea for the gift! Dick
  11. Frank, I have searched and searched for the PDF that you mentioned and I can't find it. Is it possible for you to send me Janevski's website of contact information so that I can purchase a pattern? I would love to make a few of the pattern to donate to our local VFW's and DAV organizations. Dick
  12. He got it at Lowe's. He doesn't shop Home Depot for anything, which is a different subject all together. Dick
  13. I recently was given a couple of 12 X 12 inch sheets of Flooring Underlayment to try. It cuts Great with very little fuzzies on the back. Glue sticks great to it, one side will take paint extremely well and one side will take stains perfectly. Plus it has a pretty cool pattern and color to it. I can forsee myself using it more from now on! Dick
  14. For my shop I went to a Used Office Furniture store. I need a back rest due to my bad back. I bought a used Office Chair that has wheels, a back rest, so UGLY Upholstery, It is Adjustable for height, and it is so very comfortable and it rolls around my shop perfectly! The beauty part of it is that I dickered with the guy and got him down to $25 including tax! Dick
  15. I did a little creative change to a Steve Good pattern and I really like the way it turned out. This is a gift for a Very Special Friend of mine just to say thanks for being my friend for so many years. We have been friends for 65 years now. Dick

  18. I used to work for a small fledgling Archery Company Called Lakota Archery, I Field Tested their bows, gave them my ideas on making the bows better, plus I represented them at Major Trade Shows and on different Archery Sites on the Internet. our goal was to build a Great Bow for a Reasonable Price and to Employ Native Americans on the Lakota Reservation to build the bows because there was an 85 % Unemployment Rate. Sadly, the company Failed due to One Greedy and Dishonest man that made off with all of the money, leaving the company without funds! I was deemed by the Lakota Tribe to be an Honorary Member of the Lakota and giver the name Wahkia ( Speaks With Thunder) for my efforts to Help their members. An Honor that I Proudly wear every day!
  19. Mark, Here in Western Washington we do have Maple Trees. We Have Vine Maple trees and Broad Leaf Maple trees. I think they are one of the Most Beautiful Trees alive. When our first Great Grandson was born I took a drive to find a bunch of Fall Maple Leaves, I gathered them up, dried them out and then used them for Background Portraits of him. The Leaves were almost as big as he was. Dick
  20. That is Absolutely Amazing! In fact it's more than Amazing! Letter Perfect Craftsmanship! Congrats on a job well done! Dick
  21. I just finished a little gift for a very special relative that went out of his way to fix my GMC Yukon Trailer Towing vehicle when we broke down while we were on vacation and down in his neck of the woods visiting him and his wife. He is a Mechanic by trade and owns his own Business . He took my rig into his shop, diagnosed the problem, fixed it, plus he even topped off my Air Conditioning unit with Fluid. When I asked him what the charges were he said "Nothing"! He wouldn't let me pay him for his time and efforts nor for the use of his shop! He said "That's what Family does for Family! He is a Native American and his spirit animal is a Bald Eagle, so when I saw this pattern on Steve Good's website I just knew immediately that I wanted to make it for such a special relative in thanks for his help! Dick
