  1. Thanks, JT! I got it.
  2. Thanks a bunch!! I'd considered trying it free hand but, as a novice, I'm more comfortable with a pattern.
  3. Thanks, but I don't seem to be able to find them. Got a link?
  4. I finally resorted to installing the Lifter from Papa's Workshop. It's really handy.
  5. Looks like you got the hang if it, too me.
  6. JT, I guess I'm not too computer literate. I can't find that pattern on Steve's site. Could you possibly post a link? Many thanks.
  7. Thanks, Dick. Others have been pretty mundane. Nothing too intricate. I'm still in the learner stage. Slow, too.
  8. Is there such a thing as a generic jig saw pieces pattern that can be used on any picture?
  9. Yeah. It's sure handy.
  10. Great! Enjoy.
  11. Thanks for the correction, Joe.
  12. It works very well. If you want one, go to poppasworkshop.org and check out his installation video. It's real easy to install.
  13. Just finished installing The Lifter on my DW 788. Got a sign project with about 40 holes. That Lifter is going to be right handy. I can throw that block of ply in the scrap bin.
  14. Sorry, I can't remember. But you can PM me with your address and I can mail you the pattern.
  15. That's just plain gorgeous. Nice cutting.
  16. Thanks everyone, for your nice comments. We had a terrific rain storm last night and it's still raining off and on. I had left the shop's overhead door open about 8" to take advantage of the cool night air. AZ temps can be brutal. The wind driven rain flooded the front half of the shop. I've got a right nice mess to mop up, now.
  17. Love those aero planes. And the car ain't half bad neither.
  18. Welcome from Tucson. AZ.
  19. Sorry you had that experience. But, do not despair. Most online wood suppliers are not as arbitrary and obstinate as Woodcraft.
  20. I don't/can't golf. IMO, it's just a pleasant walk, spoilt.
  21. As opposed to the piano, I really enjoy my practice sessions at the scroll saw.
  22. Really nice piece, Dick. We still have some triple digits coming up. But, it's easing off...slowly.
  23. ...for my sister. #5 MGT, De Walt 788, and a Dremel for the ball's dimples. Poplar. My first project that turned out good enough to show.
  24. Well, at least it wasn't bag pipes. My parents also asked me which instrument I'd like to learn. I said the drums. So, they enrolled me in piano lessons. 4 year's later they gave up. I still can't play the piano but I love to hear a good drummer get it on.
