  1. Us SS Users learn to improvise adapt and overcome. Right, Bob?
  2. I usually spray the project wood with sanding sealer before applying the pattern. Helps with fiber lifting when removing the pattern. I plan to print the patterns on to the label sheet and apply it directly to the wood. Maybe I'm missing something but, I don't see a down side. I keep a spray bottle of mineral spirits handy JIC the pattern get stubborn.
  3. ...and bought a 100 pack of 8.5X11 mailing labels yesterday. They ain't cheap! But, I'm hoping to save time and $$ by not using blue tape and spray adhesive. Haven't stuck them in the printer yet. A job for tomorrow.
  4. An exquisite spoon!
  5. Quite handsomely done, Dick. I second Dick's comments about the relief. It sure makes your great cutting Stand out...so to speak.
  6. Having tried those types of magnifiers, I find them cumbersome to use. Got me a head mounted one that's really useful for me. They're light and use ear pieces like glasses. I wear tri focals so, they're removed, first. Mine came from Amazon. I can't seem to get the web address to show up here.
  7. I don't feel competent enough to comment except to say that it's very nice.
  8. That's why I never considered becoming a doctor...lack of patience.
  9. I've no ear for musical notes but, I can recognize the ping of a properly tensioned blade. Well, properly tensioned, for my needs, anyway.
  10. M heros don't play ball, nor are they found in comic books. They do wear dog tags, though.
  11. I wouldn't change a thing. It's very nice as it is.
  12. Thanks but,got it all cut, Larry. I'll remember your suggestion next time, for sure.
  13. Just finishing the cuts in 3/4+ red oak abstract nativity scene. Using a #7 niqua Ultra. Originally, started with a #9 Pegus. For some reason, none of my stock of 9s wanted to cooperate. They were even slower than the 7s and much harder to keep to the line for this novice.
  14. Ray try woodworkers Source. They are only in AZ but their shipping isn't extravagant.
  15. Best improvement I've made to a tool in quite some time. They are lighter and easier to use than the originals. The saw seems to run quieter/smoother, too.
  16. Great work! Thanks for showing us and, for your offer of helpful hints. They would be welcome and appreciated.
  17. An example of very fine work, my friend.
  18. Ditto!
  19. Thanks for the info. I think I understand.
  20. My heroes, though spelled differently, are edible.
  21. My shop clock
  22. I'm a newbie to scrolling but not to woodworking and carpentry. Mark's comment about DF best left for construction is right on. I'd imagine the differing grain hardness in today's DF offerings would be maddening to a scroller.
  23. Sweet cutting of a sweet oldie. Please explain your "paint in" method.
  24. Both cuttings ae fantastic. My favorite is those horses.
