  1. Welcome to the village! We're glad you're here!
  2. I just compared the Bauer and the recent Rikon 10-622VS. They are the exact same saw. Made in the same factory, but went out different doors. We have the Rikon 22" in my store and I have used it. I think it is a great saw; in fact I am seriously considering selling my 788 and getting the Rikon. The only difference I can see is the Bauer does not have the dust collection option. There is a harbor freight across the street, so I may pop over there after we open and check it out.
  3. She was a great human being and a great artist. She will be missed.
  4. General consensus is scam alert, and I have to agree.
  5. Welcome from Oklahoma!
  6. That looks really good Frank! Very good for your 1st attempt. Thanks for sharing.
  7. For what it is worth Jerry, I was happy you posted it. It inspired me to maybe design one for my desk at work, or to put on display in our store. (woodworking store) All of the others need to calm down. You may or may not have had the flags arranged properly, but who cares? The point is you are proud of your work, and you chose to share it with us. For that I am grateful and I hope you share more of your creations. Thank you sir.
  8. Welcome to the village! I have a Dewalt and I noticed the same problems with mine. One thing I did was change out the original blade clamps with the Pegas replacements. Then I made sure the fine adjustments on the clamps enabled the blade to move directly up and down, square to the table. It took me a while but I finally found the sweet spot and now it seems to be working well.
  9. Great job Frank!
  10. Very nice work.
  11. Welcome to village! We're glad you are here!
  12. A good place to start would be Steve Good's website, https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ . He posts a daily pattern there and has a huge catalog of 1000s of other patterns, all free to download. Lots of beginner stuff, but a fair amount of intermediate to advanced patterns as well. There is also a nice library of patterns on this site as well.
  13. I have used the Milescraft glue mate and I liked it a lot. I now have a glue bot, which is equally as good and a little less expensive if I am not mistaken.
  14. Very nice work. Sometimes purpleheart is so hard to cut.
  15. Absolutely stunning Marie. You are so talented. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Very good! As Marie stated, the simplicity makes the pieces all the more beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us.
  17. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Those look great!
  19. Nice birdhouses!
  20. Very nice Dan!
  21. Welcome! Ask a lot of questions and "soak" up the wealth of knowledge offered here.
  22. I agree Kevin. The laser Woodcraft is currently carrying in the store is the smallest laser Xtool has. They have other offerings and from my research they have some pretty good products. I think the Xtool is more marketed toward the casual user that does not need a lot of features but still wants to be able to do some laser work. Plus the software is very easy to use, not a huge learning curve. The F1 specifically is a small limited unit, but I have seen a lot of people wanting to buy one because of it's portability, i.e. being able to personalize items on the spot. I do however agree with your bottom line; Do Your Research.
  23. That's pretty awesome! I might have to try that.
