  1. Roly, Great selection of wood, English Oak I presume. Typical cutting of the sign, perfect of course... but the backer is 'atypical'.

  16. Tough question....... I don't think there is a 'place' anyone can name. ' They ' just don't seem to congregate or gather where you can find them all....
  17. I stand, when I get tired of standing and scrolling, I drill, use router. paint backers, sand, warm up my coffee,,,,,,,, all standing............
  18. No can remove... but you can edit to your hearts content.... over and over again......
  19. It's very pretty wood. Show us a piece after you finish a piece you made.... I just think the grain will pop with a finish on it.

  24. Len, you do check things out. Nice eye to see I have not put a finish on. Weather not condusive for a finish. Not enough heat in shop. How about recommending how to finish this. It would help
  25. Dave, I had a small piece of 1/8 maple that I painted, went to kitchen, got a cup of coffee. Back to shop within 5 minutes and that wood had warped. You know wood.... it reacts to changes in invironment.. I'm not sure what you can do......... use laminated...plywood, luan,......... I do a lot of cutting on 1/2...3/4 wood and just say a prayer after i'm finished that it likes where it's going.
