  3. Welcome Ya'll!!!!!!!Anyway, glad you joined us ... as Bob will say......talk to you later, or maybe .. see you later.
  4. Very nice. It came out great. As for the wood grain.... depends on ta............drats ....I don't know!!!!!!!!!
  5. Here's my solution. Those blades are too agressive. The #3 is .031 thick, the #5 is .037 .... mini chainsaws (to me) I would suggest FD-PS #1 that has 28 TPI ... less agressive ..these are .026 thick 1/4" plywood I consider a soft wood... even stacked, you can cut it with thin blades. I have use Olsen #0-ST for cutting 1/4" times three (stack cutting) .024" thick 25TPI Also , check your area (hardware stores...etc) for who sells BB or Luan.
  6. Good to hear!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I think this saw only takes pinned blades (see below) and not many will have used one for scrolling. Scrolling pretty much requires non-pinned blades. If you bought it in hopes to scroll with it, maybe there is a converter made for it to use non-pinned.
  8. Don't know anything about it but you can try 'Wallapop'
  9. Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
  10. Tommy, I didn't think you would make it before the end of 2015. Whew, 4 hrs and 50 min later and you wouldn't have made it. Welcome to SSV! Since you've mastered Scrollsawing, show us some of your fretwork.

  14. John, Yer da man! Nice designs and well made. but what do you do, drink the wine before it gets to the 'bottle holders'?
  15. That looks very good and it does not look simple. I like it.
  16. Those are nice scrollings. A great variety of wood you use. Speaking of wood, would you explain why a Texan is cutting Louisiana. Just kidding. Bobscroll (above) has made some nice patterns of the 'states' including Texas.
  17. All the information you need is here. * What saw to purchase * What blades to use * What wood is best (any) * Where to get... stuff * Finish, glue, stack cutting ...
  18. Charlie, What's up? How was Christmas? You eating Texas style on News Years day? Having any Hopinjohn? Black Eyed Peas, Rice and Ham? Maybe Cornbread? Any wine? Speaking of wine, do you remember "Ripple?" What saw do U have? Any Pictures of scrolling? As for Friends, we have friends to spare! This is a great place because you can ask the same question 10 times and get a different answer each time. Welcome... come in and join us.

  22. In General Scroll sawing there is a post "Results of Blade usage' This may be the link to it.... some info on blades As to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ making....... Most of my profit comes from the total enjoyment of showing and giving. Though, I did make enough this year to buy a bench sander and saw blades. I would guess, most here profit little and some do well.
