  1. Unique for sure. Nicely done. You have to have a happy customer
  2. I have two Delta's. A 40-690 and a 40-694. Both my saws have that slight movement of the blade back and forth. I do not notice any problem when I saw. This movement does not affect my fret cutting in any way at all. Suprisingly, if you ignore it, it's a problem that will go away.
  3. GLUE - Tight Bond III Clamp if you can. glue is all you need
  4. Welcome, pleased to have you. Looks as if you are a Frank of all trades. Nice roomy shop, but I didn't see your scroll saw. Oh, and you can never own too may clamps huh?
  5. I stacked cut these two. Cut with a Olsen 1D .026 x .013 30TPI * Top one is Magnolia with the bark on top and bottom 5/8" thick * Bottom one is 1/4" Oak Lauan with 1/4" lauan backer. 1/2" thick Both are 13 1/2" x 4 1/2"
  6. I like them. Good saying, good cutting.
  7. You do very well. Each piece is impressive. Tell us what your bigger/better saw is....
  8. Welcome! If you ever have a question, we're here but sounds like you're flying fine.
  9. 15TPI is a little agressive. As for FD or Olsen, I lean toward Olsen but like FD also. I think there is a majority here that leans to FD blades. As for,'you get what you pay for.', Olsen & FD run about $2.50 a dozen... thats a reasonably cheap price...today.
  10. Len, She was in a good mood. I feel rich with the $16, an apple pie, banana bread.
  11. Thank you for sharing a little of your story. A little more education for me and this shows that I know only a speck about wood.
  12. Makes me appreciate lauan even more... I bought some beautiful birch.
  13. Bet that looks nice in a window. Good jobI like it.
  14. Look at the pictures.... the pattern on the wood is repetitive... somehow someone does this. With photography, laser, ???
  15. Check out the grain pattern on these pictures. See anything odd? It's the grain!!!!!!!!! It is repeated... How do they do this? Is it photographed on? I bought some lauan today that has a repetative grain pattern on it. Thought it quite attractive. Nice looking. How do they 'photograph' the grain on the lauan? Never saw it before. Then, I've never bought lauan before.
  16. Anna and Anthony.... Welcome!!! Enjoyed reading your INTRO. Jatoba, I had some Jatoba once. There is no real help on cutting Jatoba. New blades, go slow. Maybe metal cutting blades and maybe someone who cuts MDF will tell what blades they use
  17. You can't teach without learning. You will also learn something, maybe that you are a good teacher. Well worth sharing a talent. Kinda like what we do here.
  18. linkage geometry Why? Just Because!

    mistake

Kepy, What's the 'M' stand for? Was it supposed to be a 'W' instead? Otherwise, I don't see a mistake. Looks great to me.
  20. Nice job. I like it. Dan has a good idea on finishing the trivet.
  21. Just got back from my one and only show this year. There is GOOD news and BAD news. The good news is that I had $316 in sales. Whoopee! The bad news is that after expenses, I got $16 Here is my expenses: * Table Rental ... $40 * Gas ... $10 * Wife ... $250 * Me ... $16
  22. What blade(s) do you (primarily) use the most? I have about 20 different blades in stock. I use both Olsen and Flying Dutchman I don't understand the numbering system of blades: IE #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 since #1's and #2's could be the same size... Both could be .026" x .013" dimensions... The blades I use are Smallest to Largest: .002" x .008" x 33TPI (Rare use) .024" x .010" x 30TPI (Rare use) .026" x .011" x ??TPI (Often used) .029" x .013" x ??TPI (Often used) .033" x .015" x ??TPI (Largest blade I use)
  23. Hip hip Yea, glad it's a good blade for you. Be sure and show us more stuff you cut. Do you have other blades you use besides 2 FD Silver Penguin No 5 Blades?
  24. What was your favorite part of the show? Not bad, a little profit there.
  25. They both look good. Paint is a nice touch.
