  1. That Old Mill looks like an Old Mill. You did an excellent job.
  2. IYou did a fine job making that heart box. Beautifully done.
  3. I mix it by the gallon and store it in a 64 ounce cranberry container or maybe I mix 64 ounces and store it...........forget it. I mix a lot and store it until I use it and have to mix more........ Go back to 'General Scroll Sawinf' and in the top right corner is... a 'Search' panel. Search General Scroll sawing for.... BLO Read the posts and you will see that more than just me... mixes lots....
  4. BLO mix is much less costly than Danish and brings excellent results. Search and read the posts, all the information is there Maybe someone else will pop in and give the details..
  5. Someone will mention BLO Basically the same thing as Danish oil is this mix A mixture of 50/50 BLO boiled lenseed oil and Mineral spirits. It does make the grain pop. Mix your own, soak them in it. Been lots of posts. You could read them by doing a search for BLO in General Scroll Sawing. Top right of every forum is a search panel.

  14. Welcome Jane to Scroll Saw Village. Wow, what a nice compliment you and your husband will be for each other. The Village will make a perfect add. Not only do we have the answers to any question you may have on scroll sawing but there are great wood turners here also. What saw do you have? Please be sure and post pictures of anything; yourself, shop, other woodworks, what you have for supper. And speaking of eating, got any extra clams or shrimp. I suspect you live near a lighthouse or two... How did the latest storm treat you? Stop by the Coffee House for tea sometime soon. It's open 24/7 six days a week.
  15. I'm looking for silhouettes I can use for inlays. My computer is slow/ dialup. I've tried searching but haven't had much success. Any specific places? I'm making small boxes 5" x 3" approx. .. Just lookinh for something simple and pleasing to inlay in the top. Thank you.
  16. That is the nicest flower garden I have ever seen. Almost maintenance free. Are the mushrooms poisonous? Dragonfly, butterflies and Humming Bird. How long has that dog been after the cat. And a REAL WEED at the bottom center of the fence. What did I miss? LOL..... That's gets the most original prize for 2015
  17. When I use painter tape I use as little as possible. I usually use 'Glad PressNSeal' or nothing at all
