I used 1/2" Ash with nice grain. The blade used was FD UR #3. One coat of 50% BLO and one coat of spray Shellac. Comments welcome. Being a beginner it's always great when the artist explains what woods and finishes was used in their project so rookies like myself can get a feel for the craft. Thanks for sharing. Nice project ,I tryied cutting ash 1" thick and it took forever to cut.My hat is off to you for sticking it out to the end with slow cutting!
