Popular Post GPscroller Posted October 14, 2016 Popular Post Report Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) Sister in law in BC (British Columbia) gave me three burls a few years ago, so I slabbed them and occasionally I find a pattern that cries to be cut into them. This pattern by Onder is one example. Finished with Tung oil. Edited October 14, 2016 by GPscroller JimErn, Birchbark, leshko and 11 others 14 Quote

GPscroller Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Posted October 14, 2016 Marvelous job - everything about it looks just great. What kind of wood is the burl? Thanks, Jay Sorry Jay, not sure what the wood is, the sister in law gave me two white burls and one with a black exterior. The grain never ceases to amaze me when the wife hits it with oil though. Here is another example. Lucky2 and RangerJay 2 Quote

Lucky2 Posted October 15, 2016 Report Posted October 15, 2016 I wish I could find some wood like that. No you don't Ralph, cause once you have that special piece of wood, you never want to use it because of it being so special. BTDT. Len Quote
