Having gone through CHF myself, (that's what took me off the road from driving an 18-wheeler) my advice is listen to the doctors and do everything they tell you. And get used to diuretics and other medications.  I was fortunate in that while mine had reduced the efficiency to less than 25%, it was viral, and 8 months later I had about 75% of my efficiency back.

Prayers up for you and your family

Pray for your recovery and return to a normalcy in your life. Life changes may be on the way like mentioned new medicines and life style changes. In the mean time since the Nurses are pretty enjoy the scenery in the hospital. If you get bored there are some fun things you can do. Press the call bell and see which shift responds the fastest. Or see how many times you can flush the toilet in a minute (not sure what the record is). Hide behind the door and when the nurse comes in to wake you for sleeping medicine yell BOO. You can always get food coloring and put red or green or my favorite is blue in your urinal. May not make anyone happy but you may go home earlier. Take care and laugh when you can:lol:

Last night I had severe shortness of breath and was taken to the emergency room.  Turns out that I have a severe case of congestive heart failureally.  Looks like I will be here for a couple of days at least.  At least the nurses are pretty and I have Internet access.

Buddy buddie,i knew something was a mis as the bowl manufacturing ceased for quite awhile. If there's one thing i cannot deal with is not being able to breath.I had food poisoning so bad my insides kept coming out in the restaurant bathroom and i could not breath in as i was drowning with out oxygen.then i raised myself up on the partitions and looked right a someone washing his hands hoping by the look on my face he could help.I thought i was going to die.I'm trying desperately to clean my veins and artery's to avoid any taking blood pressure meds the rest of my life.So far the weights coming of,i'm eating a diet just for house cleaning and I'm doing good.I can now pick up a 3/4"full sheet of plywood ,although i hurt my fore arm doing it,picked up a piano 2.5 'to slide it in a warehouse, unloaded 100 cases of water.cut trees down on an on.Plus the arthritis is still gone .changing my life still has been a blessing ,You can follow suit too.Your needed and wanted on SSV .Google all you can for your condition and chose the best one you can live with.!
