Never heard of silky oak, very pretty wood. Good looking box!

Silky oak is an Australian Hardwood & is of the Grevillea Family  (Grevillea Robusta). I managed to get an old fireplace mantle piece & when I stripped the paint away this is what I found,a very pretty looking timber

Not only is this a well done inlay box made in a true craftsmanship way, but the scroll work on the inside is very innovative and adds so much to the box. A really great idea. I love the creativity of some people.. something I do not have, myself. It is people like you that help to raise the level of my work with your ideas.

Oh wow Peter you did a fabulous job.  No one would guess it was your first inlay.  Everything about the box is top quality.  Well done.  Oh and I love the Silky Oak.
