Scrappile Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 I've lived in the same area all my life. Yesterday we had the worst storm we have ever had that I can remember. 40mph winds, less than 20° temperature, don't know what it was with the chill factor and snowed the hardest I have see, for the longest time I can remember. It did this for over 24 hours. I was smart enough to brave the storm to go out and get a shovel and bring it in the basement. Now I have to start digging through the drifts at the doors just so we can get out of the house.... Still snowing but the wind has died down. Suppose to pick up again the afternoon and blow and snow for a couple days yet. Hopefully it will not blow as hard. RabidAlien 1 Quote

fredfret Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 Hope for a Chinook before you shovel all that snow. Stay safe. Scrappile 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 Stay safe and warm. Don't over exert yourself digging out either. Quote
Sycamore67 Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 Sorry for your trouble....but seems we have several of these already with much worse temperature. Quote
Jim McDonald Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 Go slow with the shovel. The snow will still be there. Quote
jerry1939 Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 When the weather lets up. PAY SOMEBODY TO DIG YOU OUT !!! A snow shovel handle has "Heart Attack" written all over it. Decide which is a better financial option for you, quit scrollin for a year, or time in the ER. Please stay safe Friend. jerry Quote

Scrappile Posted February 10, 2019 Author Report Posted February 10, 2019 Today has been sunny bright beautiful day! More storm forcasted! Quote
spirithorse Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 Be safe, Paul! We have had some of that same terrible weather here with the low temps, lots of snow, and extremely high winds! Today they were calling for 1" to 3" of snow and we already had over 2" in the first hour and it is still snowing about 4 hours later. Snow is like sex, you don't know how many inches you are going to get or how long it is going to last! (Sorry, I just couldn't contain myself this time). God Bless! Spirithorse Scrappile 1 Quote
Chiloquinruss Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 Living in the mountains we expect that kind of weather. Lot's of our neighbors are 'snow birds' and they fly south for the winter. We are not that smart! We get a few feet over the winter so its really not to bad. Right now its snowing so we have about a foot or so. Its also very dry fluffy snow here so not to bad to shovel. Russ Quote
wombatie Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 Please stay safe and warm Paul. Stupid weather. Marg Quote

meflick Posted February 12, 2019 Report Posted February 12, 2019 Guess your daughter had a premonition when she bought you and your wife those snowTraxs you were joking about a week or so ago. Bet you have been thinking what a smart girl you raised now. in all seriousness, I hope you all are staying safe and warm and it all blows over soon for you. Quote
Sparkey Posted February 13, 2019 Report Posted February 13, 2019 A friend of mine just moved to Tacoma. He said they got close to two feet. Quote
