Problem is nobody wants to work, at least in my state. We have business's closed because there are no workers. Several Dollar General stores shut down and help wanted signs everywhere you go. We went to McDonalds for the first time in a year or so because my wife had a doctors appointment at the university hospital a few hours away. Couldn't dine in and was raining to dine outside. Anyway, they had a help wanted sign stapled to the bag and inside the bag was a application to fill out.. Like this everywhere... but who wants to work in a pandemic when you can make more off unemployment and stay home doing nothing but being a keyboard junky spreading rumors on social sites. LOL

 

EDIT: BTW same crappy food at the McD's as they had a year ago.. unfortunately they are the only place still open.. apparently they can coax a few people to work somehow.. no other fast food joint is even open later in the day.. places used to be open 24 hours.. most are closed after 10 -11 pm now..

Why would anyone in their right mind want to work when the present administration is giving out more money than one can earn at entry level wages?

Oh, that's happening in your state too huh, LOL. I guess I was raised different because they was offering me money because of being self employed.. they still sending stuff in the mail for me to sign up as I'm entitled to money supposedly.. I don't need or want it.. no such thing as free money and the pandemic made me more sales than a normal year because many folks was searching / shopping online.. Now, if I needed the money and many folks do.. Not saying I'm rich, just saying God has provided me with what I need.. Yeah I'd like a new car.. I'm driving a old rusted ( frame almost rusted in half ) 03 dodge mini van with 300,000 miles.. If my state did inspections this thing would have failed 6 years ago, LOL.. Don't feel bad for me.. I have the money to buy a new one.. I just driving it until it breaks so I can finally use that roadside tow service thing I pay a little extra for on my insurance.. makes me mad because the last time I forgot I had that and paid cash for my tow, Also was hoping the car warranty lady would call me again. With almost 300,000 miles and all the rust holes.. I'm thinking it's about time to get that warranty now.    Guess I'm just trying to say, I like to earn my own way if I can..

We have only one vehicle, a 2003 Dodge Durango. My wife's car was wrecked a few months ago and we decided not to replace it. The Durango has 107,000 miles and is like new. We don't go anywhere. If need to I'll just get a nice rental. We used to travel to North Dakota each year while my parents were alive. I used to rent a Lincoln Town Car for the trip. Faye loved to put the petal to the metal as they say.

In our state, Gov has put them on notice the gravy train stops at the end of the month.

Time to get a freakin' job! There are lots of them out there!

Indiana just put out out notice the "look for work" requirement was going back into effect.

$15.00 per hour 40 hours per week = $600.00 before taxes. Current unemployment in KY state pays $232.00 week feds pay $400.00 week = $632.00 with no taxes. Believe we can all figure it out from here.

I see some of you are playing Scrabble or maybe Wild Jamble. 

30,000 40,000, 60,000 dollar vehicles sitting idle. Not good to invest in auto stock.

All those cars and trucks don't include the ones at your local auto dealer.

1,000's x $50,000 = millions of dollars sitting in parking lots.

But basically, none of this has effected my life.
