I'm back !!!

Not sure too many people would have noticed but I've been missing for quite a while.

Life has had it's ups and downs for me as for most people.  On the bright side, I had my winter pups to rear which kept me very busy, but enjoyable.

On the 'dark' side, I've lost a few (3) good friends this winter due to this damned virus at least one that could have been avoided, which knocked me badly.

A dear friend was visited over the winter by friends and family, however, one of these 'dear ones !!  had omitted to say that they were 'Anti-Vaccination' idiots and after investigation said that they  a) Didn't believe that the virus was any worse than the flu.  B) They felt fine so didn't see a problem.  C) Thought the Government were totally wrong in imposing any restrictions on their lives and that they should be free to do as they wished.

Well, these selfish idiots still have their freedom,,,  They are still living their lives of 'freedom' however my good friend died because of their selfishness, as they were proved to be asymptomatic. 

Unfortunately, her husband was totally devastated by the loss of  the love of his life and felt that he could not continue without her so he hung himself. 

So all in all life has been a little difficult for us all.

But, as they say, Life goes on and I'm pretty much back on an even keel and have ventured back into my workshop where I'm finding a little peace and solace.  Will try and catch up on all the 'forums' and will start cutting again and joining in as before.

 

P.S.  My apologies for the rant. If people wish not to be vaccinated that is their choice, however, in this country we have free lateral flow tests for all and if they had just had a test before visiting then, for the sake of  less than 10 mins,  perhaps life would be different, well, our lives anyway.

So sorry to hear of this sad news. Sending prayers to you and those families. Unfortunately this story is all to familiar to a lot of folks across the globe for the last year and a half.   It is good to see you posting again.

You were certainly missed Brenda.  I am so very very sorry for your loss, it should never have happened.  And I bet they feel that they have done nothing wrong..............

Terribly sorry to hear of your losses. I have lost 2 friends of over 50 years, one in a nursing home that was badly hit by the virus in the early days and the other after a Christmas visit to their family.

We have missed you here and are glad that you and yours are safe.

Welcome back! Too many think they're smarter than all the medical professionals begging folks to get vaccinated. They'll search the web to find some crack who agrees with them and ignore all the sound minded professionals giving good advice. Sorry for the loss of your friends.
