Popular Post Montserrat Posted September 11, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted September 11, 2023 I saw this project first a while ago in the Intarsia Nuts group on Facebook. Then it popped up repeatedly as people got enchanted with it like I did. I finally pulled the trigger about a month ago and bought the pattern. The original design is by a New Zealand artist named Kristina Webb. The pattern is by Artintarsia on facebook. The Artintarsia pattern is 3 feet tall - that is way too big for me, so I made mine about 13 inches. That is plenty big, but makes some pieces mighty small. Also, since the original only had books in it, I wanted to put my own spin on it -- so I filled it with books and tchotchkes. Even turned a very tiny vase and tiny bowl. But look yourself. I have to say that I am glad I obsessively horded smallest cut offs. I can't look at any mini scraps any more without thinking whether it might make a good book back. preprius Posted September 11, 2023 Report Posted September 11, 2023 Nice job of adding your own spin , (turning pun implied). For my head I would need cobwebbs in the library and a dark cloud above my head. and maybe some air in may head. Montserrat 1 Quote
