Popular Post Jim McDonald Posted July 13, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted July 13, 2025 Been a while since I posted anything other than comments of smiley faces, so here's a couple I have been working on. Growth cart is pretty straightforward, letters and numbers cut from 1/8" ply and finished with gloss black. Mounted on 1 x 10 x 6 lightly stained and rub on poly top coat. Inch marks are from a paint marker. Second is an 8 x 10 commercial frame with handwritten sentiments from all four grandparents. Again 1/8" ply with flat black on flat white backer. Cut with FD Superior Puzzle blades. Spirals would have probably been easier, but I wanted the slick finish of a flat blade. Comments and criticism always welcome/expected. Jim McDonald Posted November 4, 2025 Author Report Posted November 4, 2025 Update: My DIL found a birthday card signed by her mom who unfortunately was killed in a car wreck 10 years ago and I was able to get the signature copied and cut to finish the plaque. Lettering done by a friend on his 3d printer at 2mm height. Quote
