Back in the saddle

After about a year away from the scrollsaw because life happens I started scrolling again today. It’s amazing how you retain your muscle memory for that long. Cutting was just like I had done it yesterday. Cutting some Xmas ornaments for my kids trees just to get back in the swing of things.

Good to see you're back at it again. 

I too have been away from the scroll saw for dang near 2 years because of some health reasons but now I'm able to get back into it however, because I was down for a long time my shop has been the catch all for anything the kids and wife don't want.. I can barely move in there and so I'm about to get me a dumpster or something.. So bad I don't even know where to start, LOL

While my scroll saw work area and laser work area isn't too bad if I had boards already sized but if I need to use the planer, chop saw or basically anything other than the scroll saw it'd be a half days work just to size a board..  My CNC router has so much junk on the table I can barely see the machine, LOL.. 

Sorry I guess I turned that into a rant.. I just came in from the shop and was going to do some scrolling.. open the door and looked around shook my head and said to myself.. NOPE.. not today.. came back inside and checked in on here and seen this topic,

I will post pictures once I get the ornaments done. Still can’t sit out there very long problems with back and one leg. Here’s a picture of my last project I made last year.

finally got the ornaments done just need to finish them. Top is red oak middle is walnut and bottom is a really light color cherry

The pattern came out of a scrollsaw magazine. I don’t remember which one though.
