Popular Post Dan Posted December 18, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted December 18, 2025 Thanks @FrankEV. This was an easy cut (3 at a time), paint and assembly. The assembly took the most time. Needed just the right amount af glue to prevent squeeze out and no good way to clamp it. My granddaughter thought it was a cookie before I hung it on the tree. I did carve a few but painting became more difficult. Those came out only OK. Carving went much quicker, I just need to learn how to paint a little better. jerry walters Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 You did a great job Dan. Nothing wrong with your painting. I want to make some too, being only a week from Christmas I don't think I will get it done. Might be a late Christmas gift this year or a really early one for next year. Thanks for sharing. barb.j.enders Posted December 19, 2025 Report Posted December 19, 2025 Great job. For "clamping" this I would have used elastic bands around the whole thing. I also use "bubble tubes" (came in a shipping box) with a weight on top. Dan 1 Quote

I even did a drop test (unintentional) and it survived unscathed. barb.j.enders 1 Quote
BadBob Posted December 20, 2025 Report Posted December 20, 2025 I have a lot of these little spring clamps. They would probably clamp your ornament. Quote

I have a bunch of them too, but since the ornament was already painted I didn't want to take a chance of marking up the paint. Quote
