MarieC Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 (edited) I am so amazed by your work! Those bridges are so small between your cuts. Do you ever have to pull out the CA glue when things do not go as planned? Edited January 17 by MarieC Charlie E 1 Quote

As a matter of fact, after sanding this one I noticed a thin section of her ear had cracked and had to do just that. Thankfully nothing fell out Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 This is indeed a very nice tribute to Jane. You do an amazing job on your pattern making and produce some wonderful pieces for you wall collection as time goes on. I still have not taken the time to concentrate on pattern making and now I am getting more elderly and it is looking like I probably will not be taking the time to ever accomplish one of my many goals that don't seem to get done anymore. So glad you have accomplished yours. Thanks for posting them for the rest of us to admire. Dick Heppnerguy Charlie E 1 Quote

While I still enjoy making portraits I have really slowed down due to life’s more pressing issues. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back eventually and life will slow down again. Since most of my portraits never leave my shop I frequently question if there is any point in doing more. But I think this quote has some wise advice in it. “Practice any art . . . no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.” — Kurt Vonnegut heppnerguy 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 What a great quote. It certainly is true. I am spending less time in my shop lately but when I do go there, I find I still love my hobby Dick heppnerguy Charlie E 1 Quote
