Scrappile Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Last year I purchased some wood from Ocooch Wood Products. I can not remember what species it is. I think Butternut but not sure. Any wood expert able to tell from my picture? It is beautiful wood. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Jim McDonald Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Looks a lot butternut to me. If it cuts like walnut, that's it. It is sometimes called white walnut. Scrappile, OCtoolguy, Fish and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Looked at my past orders on their site and did not tell me the species of wood just that I ordered and how much. I am pretty sure it is Butternut. They used to have a similar wood called Monkey Pod that looked somewhat like this but it was a darker wood. I have not seen it on their site for quite a while. OCtoolguy and Fab4 2 Quote
Sycamore67 Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 I have started marking what kind of board is by putting the name on the edge and ends. It helps a lot. barb.j.enders, Scrappile and OCtoolguy 3 Quote
