very nice pick stand.

I like the racing stripe pick.

The stuff  I read about the wood picks , wood type makes a difference in sound.  Sometimes it is the texture of the pick, sometimes it is the stiffness.

Some people don't make the pick nice and smooth for 2 reasons, slippery , and strum texture.  I think those makers chose to stop sanding at 180 grit.

When I first saw your project, very nice by the way, the stand reminded me of a "Moai", one of the giant easter island heads. I looked online and Steve Good has a pattern. I intend to modify the pattern so that slots will be cut across the bridge of the nose to hold the picks. This will allow the younger users to "pick their nose".

I'll see myself out. :)

Have you gotten feedback on how well the pics work?  Are they out of rosewood?

Yes, made some for his guitar teacher in the past as well.

Each spieces will have a slightly different feel and tone to it.

Teacher says he loves the mahogany and ebony pics

My daughter had a concert grand Marimba and all the keys were out of rose wood because they create such a beautiful tone...wonder if it would apply to picks?

Will let you know
