  2. In the August 2012 Creative Woodworks & Crafts they had these birds made from golf balls. The ones I made were based on them. The only scroll work were the wings, head feathers and in one case the head/beak. Painted with acrylic. Birdie Eagle ARB (Angry Red Bird ) DW

  6. The plaque was inspired by Sheila Landry's plaque of the Laundry Service - http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/product/SLDK200 The bowl was cut from 3/8 pine and then stained a colonial maple. The bowl is 3 inches wide x 4 1/2 long. It was finished with shellac. Puzzle box cut from aromatic cedar and is 2 inches x 3 1/4 inches long DW

  15. Jim I took my dremel tool with a 3/8 inch sanding drum on it and sanded the indentations into the rim. I was not thinking or I would have cut them on the saw instead.. would have been much faster. Perhaps the next one I will use the saw hehe DW

  21. Decided to make something other than a shell hehe. Cut this bowl from 3/4 appleply with maple facing. It was sealed with tung oil and then shellacked. DW

  25. Big Full Shell was cut from a 2x4 and finished with shellac. Cedar Box made from aromatic cedar. The dimensions are 3 inches wide x 7 inches long x 1 ½ inches deep. The box was finished with shellac. My SIL ordered these boxes for her coworkers. The dimensions are 4 inches x 7 inches x 1 ½ inches deep and has been flocked in a wine flocking and finished with lacquer.
