  1. Thank you. I did not design this pattern. It was designed for intarsia by Bruce Worthington.
  2. I only use BB the good stuff 5 x 5 sheet
  3. I design my own patterns and have purchased several. There are many pattern designers that have way more talent than me for making the patterns. They have many hours involved and many time is "their job" and source of income. So if I see a pattern that I just to have I will gladly pay for it.
  4. Welcome to the Village. I see a couple of your patterns that I'm going to have to try. Will be ordering in the near future.
  5. excellent cutting.
  6. I do not. I apply pattern directly to the wood to spray glue. And remove with mineral spirits.
  7. I just learned my supplier now carries 1/8" oak plywood. so I'm going to try that as well to see if it holds up to the BB
  8. It all depends on what you want to turn. Small stuff like pens, bottle stoppers, bowls, get a midi. If you plan on making large spindles, table legs get a large lathe. You can make small stuff on a big lathe, but you can't make big (long) stuff on a small lathe. I have a Jet 1015 VS and love it. let us know what you come up with.
  9. I use 1/8" BB. The blade I use all depends on the pattern I'm cutting. I will use a 2/0 up to a 5r for most patterns. I try to stay away from spiral but will use the and usually 2/0 or 3/0.

  25. Thank you Dick. I was working our woodworkers guild booth at the fair which is in the building all the woodwork and art is displayed. I had several people stop and talk to me about it, and several I overheard talking about it. It got many compliments even some thanks from other Vets. It makes you feel good when it makes others happy. to see peoples faces when you tell them how its made, a few thought it was one piece of wood and carved like that when I told them it was over 230 individual pieces they just stared at me. It will hang in my little "gallery " in my home
