  1. Welcome to the village Mark. Now get off the computer and get back to the barn and practice.
  2. John, i deleted the second post. The gallery link on your posts is to the old gallery. While we can view it I don't think it can be added to. You will have to create a new gallery.
  3. nice cutting. I know I would if I could.
  4. I have gave a few people "lesson" and the thought of insurance never crossed my mind. Just doing it if someone showed interest and wanted to learn a little instead of just jumping in.
  5. great looking crosses. Well done.
  6. that looks great. I can see why it won.
  7. congrats on the new saw. When I had the Dewalt 788 I didn't go past 3.5 -4 with the tension.
  8. The only blades I use are the Flying Dutchman blades FD-SR (scroll reverse tooth) from size 2/0 - 9, depending on what I'm cutting most of the time it's a # 5 or 7. I also use the new spirals but not very often. I prefer the regular flat blade.
  9. great job on both, pattern and cutting.
  10. they look great.
  11. good idea I'll have to give it a try.
  12. I have the flex drum set and they work great. Judy Gale Roberts sells them on her site as well.
  13. The pattern has been removed.
  14. Nice job.
  15. I have tried the online brand I bought from Judy sometime back. I don't like them I prefer the flying Dutchman blades. They just didn't cut as well for me.
  16. sounds like not everything is grouped together. I haven't done these in a while, but make sure everything has the box around it then go to Object and select group. You should be able to move it as a whole then.
  17. that's great. my grand daughter likes to be in the shop with me so maybe someday she will want to try scrolling.
  18. great cutting

  20. Happy new year to all here
  21. Merry Christmas to all
  22. I do both. I've used my scroll saw to cut designs into a couple of my pens.
  23. lots of patience and time. I use a belt sander, oscilating spindle sander, flexible drum sander, and a dremel with various bits and small sanding drums. There is a lot of dust so you must be careful.
  24. looks great Dan
  25. welcome back and great job on the crosses.
