  5. Nice work @FrankEV Well done! I prefer the lighter shade but, as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As long as you are happy with them, my opinion is irrelevant. God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Hi, @Don Bedggood As preprius said, I also wondered about the amount of wood burning and the results. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so, as long as you are pleased, that is what matters, I am not particularly fond of the dark nature of the frame. Just my opinion which has lost a lot of value due to the cost of living inflation. God Bless! Spirithorse
  7. Well done from start to finish. Wish the cutie a happy birthday from me. God Bless! Spirithorse
  8. Hi, @CSull and @heppnerguy The pattern that I used for a project called The First Founding Fathers was by Jeff Zaffino. Now that I took time to try to find images on the internet, the pattern that CSull used is probably NOT the Zaffino pattern. The highlights in the Native American's cheeks are not there in the Zaffino pattern. Now I want to find out who designed the one CSull cut. I think also that this pattern designed by Jeff Zaffino is the one that really started all the legal problems for Jeff Zaffino because he used someones zigsaw puzzle original Founding Fathers puzzle - Search (bing.com) as the source for his scrollsaw pattern without permission. Legal problems then really began to pile up as other designers complained that their copyrights were also violated. Attached is the cutting I did at 11" x 14".

  18. That is fantastic! (Except for the thief) I wish I could find out how to say and print my name in Lakota or Algonquin. God Bless! Spirithorse
  19. I made this the same day Steve released the pattern but, I narrowed the slots to 1/4" and used 1/4" Baltic Birch. I was happy that I kept the slots the right size and centered so the puzzle came out with no large gaps and assembles tightly but, not too tightly. I actually think it is harder to disassemble than to assemble! LOL God Bless! Spirithorse
