  2. Welcome to the forum, Brennan, I admire your enthusiasm! Have fun and keep us posted with your projects, please. God Bless! Spirithorse
  3. Nice work, Greg, The only helpful criticism I can give, judging from the straight-on pic, I think I would have contoured the edges a lot more. Other than that, you have no reason at all to consider giving up. Even that bit of criticism is all in the eye of the beholder. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Nicely done, Gordster! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  8. Good point, Jerry! God Bless! Spirithorse
  9. Greetings, Jeff, Welcome to the forum. I believe that lichterbogen is an Volker Arnold pattern and can be seen here. https://woodyoubelieveshop.com/product-category/volker-collections/ You may be able to find the single pattern elsewhere a I believe that link is for a collection of 3 patterns from 2006. At least now you can look for Volker Arnold patterns if you do not want that collection at that price. God Bless! Spirithorse
  10. Congratulations! I'm happy for you, for sure. God Bless! Spirithorse
  11. Great innovation and a great first time spiral bowl. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  12. Hi, Bobby, Thanks for the intro. Sounds like you got a great deal on a saw. There really isn't too much mystery behind using a scroll saw. Just a lot of practice and learning simple facts about how the blades cut, what size blade for different projects, blade tension and your speed on both pushing the wood into the blade slow enough for the blade to cut without forcing it and the speed of the blade itself. Ask all the questions you want and someone will always step up with great advice. God Bless! Spirithorse
  13. Fantastic work! I wanted to make a clock or two like those and knew that my patience would not last for the length of time it would take. Also, I did not want to invest a lot of money in a clock movement and not be able to sell it for a reasonable price. The Lord's Prayer shown below is probably the longest project I have done. Stack cut in 1/4" Baltic Birch about 44 hours. Thanks for sharing your projects! Excellent work and a pleasure to view. God Bless! Spirithorse
  14. Very nice work, Jeff! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  22. Cool idea, @birchbark Kevin, I like the smaller clock for a desk clock even with the wood perimeter.' God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Sorry any suggestions I could make would just be second-hand from other people's recommendations but, how cool is it that you could possibly meet another scroller in your home-town? I sure wish I could meet some of the members from this forum. God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. Excellent work on a challenging project! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Great cutting, Les, and good idea from rjR. You could also sell it to a place that sells fishing equipment and let them put their price on it for their profit. God Bless! Spirithorse
