  1. Michael, have you ever heard the saying; that practice makes perfect? Well, that's what it's going to take, you're going to have to put some time in at the saw. Once you've spent some time cutting, you'll get used to the ins and outs of your saw and how it should sound. By doing this, you'll get used to how to set the tension on your blade just by feel, and by flicking the saw blade to the right tone. But, it will all take time and practice. With your blades breaking where they are, I'm wondering if your blades is plumb to the blade holders. If the blade holder isn't 90 degrees to the blade when you set the tension, then the blade has uneven pressure at the points where they break. Make sure that the blade is running plumb to the blade holders, and the table and you should have better luck. Len
  2. Nicely done Barb, both pieces look great. Len
  3. Kris, that's one heck of a cutting, would mind letting me know where you got the pattern from? Len
  4. Nicely done Jerry, and it's going to a great group of people, good on you! Len
  5. Paul, you did a great job cutting this one out, it looks fantastic. How thick was the blank you used? Len
  6. Nicely done Ralph, I imagine that both nephews will be proud to display them. Len
  7. Paul, I agree with Ron, if it's a sealed bearing, then it doesn't require any grease. Applying grease to a sealed bearing will not do the bearing any good, the bearing is sealed to stop contaminants out. How old is your saw, it looks like the anniversary special they put out? Len
  8. Very impressive cutting Mark, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  9. Love it! Len
  10. Great deal Ike, now put it to good use. Len
  11. Nicely done Rob. Len
  12. Dave, that's some top shelf cutting, it looks fantastic. Len
  13. Three gorgeous pieces, they all look so good that I'm not going to try to pick a favorite. Len
  14. Way to go Marg, it's a great way to use up some scraps of wood. Personally though, I think the Mr. Crisps ones should have the wood grain running in the opposite direction. Len
  15. Peter, it's a beautiful desk plaque, the wood you used is perfect for a piece like this one. I do see where you made a small error and nobody has mentioned yet, so I won't either. Len
  16. Edward, how reasonable are their prices, and what thicknesses do they carry? Len
  17. Kevin, your all set now. Len
  18. Mike, you probably could without any issues. But, if your making them to sell, why not just stack cut two or three of each? That way you only have to apply the pattern once, and there's a lot less frigging. Len
  19. Nicely done Dan, they look great. Len
  20. To cute! Len
  21. Steve, it look nice, what does the symbol mean or what is it made off of? Len
  22. Yes Rob, it's definitely a different one, but, still a good one. Len
  23. Edward, both pieces look nice, way to go. Len
  24. Nicely done Steve, each piece looks fantastic. Len
  25. Randy, please take lots of pictures, this is an interesting project to follow along with. Len
