  1. Nicely done Monti, will you be adding a permanent backer piece to it? Len
  2. Peter, for a rushed job, it looks awfully nice. Len
  3. Nicely done John, I think it looks fine the way it is. Len
  4. Jerry, any oil type of finish would work. In the past, I've used BLO, Danish oil, Mineral oil, and a couple of them had Walnut oil on them. You want to use an oil that soaks in, and one that seems dry to the touch. You want them dry to the touch, so that they don't affect any table cloths or the finish of what they will be set on. Len
  5. Sean, rather than replace the bellows, why don't you just get a small aquarium pump? It would do the job real well, and you wouldn't have to take your saw apart. Len
  6. Intarsia, how is it done? That;s an easy one to answer, it's done one piece at a time. Maybe this is not the answer you were looking for, but, I just couldn't resist. Len
  7. This is an easy issue to solve, don't let the punch through bother you. Drill all of the holes at one time, then use a random orbital sander to sand the back flat again. This is what I started doing, and I've never had an issue since. Len

    Wolf Puzzle

Nicely done Dan, it looks real nice. Thanks for sharing the pattern with us, I'm sure it will be cut many times. Len
  9. Jerry, all three pieces look great, especially the heart one. You got some very nice sharp points in the puzzle, what blade did you use to cut it out? Len
  10. Nicely done Marg, your SIL should be very impressed. Len
  11. Lots of new patterns, thanks to all of the designers. I for one appreciate all the work and effort, that goes into coming up with new designs each year. Len
  12. Dave, what system are you operating on? Is it possible that there was a change in your operating system, that is responsible for it operating that way? Len
  13. Dick, that was my sentiment also, but, I needed a place to get rid of my scroll saw work. I had given so much away, that people were getting tired of it. It was getting to the point, that my wife was starting to complain about it cluttering up the house. So I had to find some way of getting rid of it, the way I found was the Farmers Market. I would go there every Friday for four hours, and I usually made about $150.00 to $200.00 per day/week. It worked out to be one of the best ideas I ever had, it gave me a place to sell my wares and to get my business cards out there. That's what made it such a good idea, I got a lot of business off of those business cards. So Dick, if you look at it as just a way to get rid of your extras, you might learn to look forward to the odd sale. You can cut whatever you like, and as much as you like, if you have a place to get rid of what you cut. I never thought that I would like selling my scroll saw work, but, once I started attending them, I hated to miss a sale. Not only for the extra money, but, also for all the praise and nice remarks I got from people. Give one more sale a try, just to see what you think of them. But, for this next sale, I would like for you to be present. Don't miss the sale, be there, listen to what people have to say about your work. I think that if you do this, you will change your mind on how you feel about sales. I no longer participate in the Farmer's Market, but, the only reason I don't is because of a health reason. As soon as I can get that issue cleared up, I will be back there. Len
  14. Theresa, I was asking your dad about where you've been, he told us how busy you've been. Thanks for sharing the picture with us, it looked like you guys covered all subjects. $200.00 isn't a bad total for a one day sale, how well was the sale advertised? That will generally reflect on how sales go, if it's poorly advertised you don't usually get the traffic flow needed for a real successful sale. Hopefully, you'll do as good or better at your next sale, what are you selling besides scroll work? Len
  15. Hans, I love it, it's not what you'd expect to see when looking at a Peter Pan item. I like how they included the Crocodile in the pattern, he played a major role. Could you please let me know where you got the pattern from, I would like to give it a try. Len

  17. So you didn't get anything done yesterday, that's fine, maybe you'll get twice as much done tomorrow. Len
  18. Nicely done John, I love horses also. I used to own a couple years ago, sometimes, I wish I still owned them. Len
  19. Good luck Larry, you gotta wonder why they make it so hard to change a fuse? I could understand, if the fuse couldn't burn out. But it does, so why do they make them the way they do? Len
  20. Lee, your display is most impressive, the work you do is amazing. With work of this grade, I can't see how you wouldn't do well. Thanks for giving us a look at your set-up, hopefully, most of it will sell for you. Len
