  1. Nicely done Jerry, you sure have that cutting out letters down to a science. Len
  2. Nicely done Todd, your work is impeccable! Len
  3. Nicely done Jerry, they look great. You state that you used a #3-FD blade, what type? There's numerous types of blades, I would like to know what type you used to cut plexi with? Len
  4. Tony, thankfully your back, I'd hate to miss seeing this piece. It's a gorgeous piece, you must live in a beautiful village. Len

Dan, they could be good sellers for you, it depends on how many people in your area that own dogs. These two look great, now you just need to figure out what breeds would be good sellers. Len
  6. I don't use tape,I never seen the need to, I've never had a problem removing the pattern remnants. I've been tempted to try using tape, but, that's only because of what I've read about other scrollers using it. Len
  7. Larry, congrats on the recognition, it should help with sales. It's like Wayne has stated about buying exposure, you probably couldn't afford to pay for what this footage could do for you. Plus, with what I've seen of your work, it's no surprise to me that she chose your work to record. Good on you! Len
  8. Jerry, if you were throwing darts, you'd have a bulls-eye with this one. Len
  9. Nicely done Ron, I'm sure the recipient will appreciate getting this. Len
  10. Bruce, I'm sorry to state this, but, all I can suggest, is that you practice practice practice on a scrap piece of wood. Then, if you can't succeed with a 2/0 blade, then step it up one number in blade sizes. Len
  11. Hello Bill, welcome to the Village, it's great to have you as a new member. I'm wondering if, you could do a bit of introducing yourself, just so that we can get to know you a bit better? What's your hobbies, where do you live and are you married, that type of thing? We don't need you to tell us your life history, just a tid-bit of your goings on. There's no rules stating that you need to introduce yourself, and you don't need to if you don't want. But, if you do, it makes it easier to get to know you and treat you like we know you. The previous posters have pretty much answered your question, there'a not much to add to what they've posted. Personally, I think it's just a matter of practicing. But, yes you are right in your suspicions, if the blade is to large, it's very hard to cut a 90* cut. With some blades, you just need to have a waste area to cut into, there's no way around it. I cut using the Flying Dutchman brand of blades, I can comfortably cut a 90* corner with up to a #5 blade without stopping. If I'm using a larger blade, I may have to stop and spin the piece of wood. With any blade over a #7, I look for a waste area to cut into because it makes things so much easier. Len
  12. Tony, it's good to have you back on the Village, hopefully, you will be able to get caught back up with everything. Len
  13. Roly, this is a duplicate posting. No matter though, I still like the tags in the first picture best. Len
  14. Too cute Dan, too freaking cute! I would like for you to try something with this one, cut a small circle painted white. Then place the small circle inside the eye that is there now, like a pupil. I'd like to see what it would look like, if you did it that way. Len
  15. Holy smokes Roly, you sure are keeping busy. I really like the tags in the first picture, how'd you make them? Len
  16. Dan, for indoors or outdoors use, you could get away with using most any type of wood that is acclimitized to Florida. For a finish, use what you normally use. You must have a favorite indoors finish, use it, and use whatever else you'd normally use for outdoor work. Len
  17. Scott, did you just order the one magazine, or did you subscribe to the mag? It would be very interesting to see, the difference in their patterns compared to North American designs. Len
  18. Don, you could use one of Steve's adapters just to loosen the clamp screw, it would make loosening the screw a lot easier. For the tightening part, that's on you, you just have to remember to use less strength when tightening the screw. Len
  19. Sam, as Steve has mentioned, get on the phone with Ray at Seyco and have him overnight you what you need. Sure it will cost you a few extra dollars, but, it will relieve the pressure your under. Len
  20. Jim, I wouldn't be to quick to pull the plug on this venue. The results though disappointing, can probably be blamed on the rain. People just don't attend these events in miserable weather. Len
  21. Congrats Rob, I think you did well. Considering the space you had, is there no chance of buying extra tables at these sales? Len
  22. Don, why don't you just drill the holes to the size you need? Len
  23. Edward, it's great news that your final sale was so successful. You have a great selection of items to pick from, that always makes it easier to sell lots. Len

    FRAGILE

Dan, that's one outstanding ornament, your brother will get a big laugh out of it. Len
  25. Brian, these puzzle ornaments are gorgeous, they should be good sellers. I'm sorry, but, I can't help identify the pattern designer. Len
