  1. Scott, that's a tidy bit of cutting, will you be adding a backer to it? Len
  2. Dave, unless you have a fair amount of spare time to put into cleaning the equipment, I don't think a spray system would work for you. Have you checked out different types of clear finish in spray bombs, there's more out there than just lacquer. Len
  3. Do you have enough opinions yet? If not, I think it should be plural also. Len
  4. Deb, I think your husband made a wise choice by returning it, I don't think you would be happy with it. A General 16" should do the job, and most General saws are a pleasure to use. Len
  5. I've tried them and then I gave them away, they were to catchy for my likes. I do mostly fret work, and I was afraid to use the sanders on it because it might break. They do work well on solid pieces of wood, I liked how well they sanded the edges of puzzle pieces. Len
  6. Sorry can't help, no idea where it is? Len
  7. Cute cutting Dick, so far you seem to be impressed with the little saw. Len
  8. Tony, that's a good looking clock, it doesn't seem as if you have any issues with the new saw. Enjoy! Len
  9. Perry, that's some good looking clutter, you must have a large shop to be able to add these to the mix. Len
  10. Dick, you seem to be able to cut alright with this little saw, this ornament looks great. Len
  11. Good luck with it Dick, I look forward to your next posting on how this saw works. Len
  12. Get a detail or orbital sander and sand all of the rust off, then wax the top with a good quality wax. Remember to not use a wax that has any silicone in it, it could affect the finish on your work. The problem with adding a thick top, is that it affects how the reverse tooth blades work. If you are going to be adding a top, you should use something no thicker then 1/8". I wouldn't paint it for any reason, painting the table could cause more issues then it solves. Len
  13. Melanie and Dick, thanks for the explanation, I wasn't aware that the deputies badges had Sheriff on them. Len

    New stuff

Janie, that sure is some outstanding cutting, you did an exceptional job on both pieces. Len
  15. Dick, it looks fantastic, but, with the Sheriff designation on it doesn't that mean it's for the sheriff. If it was made without sheriff being cut on it, it would be more for a group wouldn't it? Len
  16. Beautifully done Joe, they all look fantastic. Len
  17. Simply outstanding!! Len
  18. Edward, I like this one better than the first attempt, I think the blue was a necessity for the American flag. And even though it isn't the same color pattern as the U.S. flag, it looks good as is. Len
  19. Very very nic. Len
  20. Good on you Dick, it's an honorable thing you do. Len
  21. Dick, for some reason it's not possible to delete items in the village. Len
  22. Around here it is considered junk wood, it is usually left standing. Or, if it is cut, it is left laying where it falls. Len
  23. Right now what I plan on doing is finding 10-12 new/different items specifically for this event and make 1 of everything for display purposes only and take orders. Since it's 2 days and is all day, into the night music event, people won't want to carry a piece of wood around with them for hours, not to mention the risk of losing or breaking it. This way I don't have to try to guess what will be popular by making several and getting stuck holding a bunch of stuff that won't sell until the next music fest. Iggy, good luck with your plans, but, I've tried doing just that and I had little to no success with it. What I found, is that people want to get the item when they pay for it. Len
  24. Kevin, thankfully it was a quick and cheap fix. Len
  25. Wowsa Helmut, you sure can come up with some amazing designs, that's an impressive windmill. Len
