  1. Wowsa Ron, what a find!! Len
  2. John, whatever you do, don't make the hole in the table any larger. I think that if you do, you will regret doing it in the near future. If your having problems with blade drift, then it's a tension issue. Len
  3. Jerry, it's a gorgeous cutting, I'm sure your friend will appreciate owning it. Len
  4. Nicely done Dick, on both, the cutting and on helping your granddaughter out. Len
  5. The price is right, there is one for sale over on the Sawmill Creek site. The saw is 18 years old, and the seller wants to sell it for over a thousand dollars. I know these saws are expensive to buy, but, I don't think they are worth that much for a saw that old.The saw he is trying to sell is, a 22"Multimax. Len
  6. Dave, it's a very nice looking sprayer, expensive maybe, but cheaper than buying a compressor and the rest of the tools required to spray paint with. Len
  7. Kevin, this is what happens to people who are to nice to others. You've got to get a system set up that runs like a business, otherwise, people will keep taking advantage of you. There is a lot of unscrupulous people out there, they couldn't care less what happens to you. They're of the frame of mind that if something happens to you, they'll just find another sucker. Get a book to write the orders in, and to write the proper spelling of the words or whatever's supposed to be on the cutting. Start demanding a 50% non-refundable deposit up front, and then demanding the rest upon reciept of the work. You might as well be an idle fool over being a busy fool, especially if they're not paying you. No one knows your situation better than you yourself, times are tuff demand what you deserve. Len
  8. A matching one, what's up with that? Len
  9. What new saw? Len
  10. I bow to the Master, what a phemnominal piece John, definitely one to be very very proud of. Len
  11. Nicely done Kevin, I noticed the name and was wondering if it was a commission? Len
  12. Nicely done Jeff, the recipients should be pleased with these results. Len
  13. Nicely done Frank, it looks to have been a fairly easy cut to make. Len
  14. Kevin, rather than trying to do something that you know you're already no good at, why don't you build your frames without using mitered corners? Len
  15. Vern, it's a very nice looking cutting, it would be delicate though seeing as how its oak. Len
  16. Daniel, another very nice looking piece, another good source for patterns is tattoo sites. Len
  17. Nicely done Daniel, how many brownie points was it good for? It looks to have been a fairly easy cut, I should cut one for my wife. She likes butterflies also, and I can use the brownie points as well. Len

    Fire wood

Looking at this wood almost makes me want to cry, I like turning wood and this suff would make nice turning blanks. Yes, it's great for scrolling and a nice find. Treat the ends now, so that it doesn't all crack from shrinkage. Len
  19. I like using the dip method also, it usually gives a nice finish. Len
  20. Richard, these two pieces look great, you did a fantastic job on both. Len
  21. Theresa, your're your own worst critic, we all are guilty of the same thing. We judge our work to harshly, we wouldn't judge another persons work as harshly as we do our own. I see nothing wrong or out of place with this piece, it looks fantastic. At first I didn't like the look of the frame, but, once I realized that it was supposed to look like a window ledge, I changed my mind. I now think it was a perfect thing to do, it does make the cat look like it is sitting on a ledge. To keep the wood from changing color, I would use a water based semi-glossed lacquer. Len
  22. Nicely done Erv, the recipent should be pleased. Len
  23. Nicely done! Len
  24. Theresa, with a first piece that look as good as this one does, it makes improving your work a very difficult task. I mean, how can you improve on perfection? Len
  25. Randy, you are the master coin cutter, this one is amazing. Len
