  1. Edward, I like the cutting, and I like how well you cut it out. But, to me, the flag just doesn't look right. I wonder if there is some other way of presenting it, one that makes the flag look more normal? Len
  2. Another very nice looking trivet Monti, what will you be using for a finish? Len
  3. Nicely done Dick, it sure looks as if your getting comfortable using the dreaded spiral blades. Len
  4. Kevin, on the last picture you posted, it looks as if you didn't sand the fuzzies off. Don't you sand your work? Len
  5. Kevin, watch yourself around the heat, it can make you as sick as can be. Len
  6. There you go Eddie, Larry's got you going in the right direction. Maybe our inlay master Dave Monk will chime in, he could answer all your questions about inlay work. Len
  7. Eddie, it's just a matter of choice. Some people use glass on all of their portrait cuttings, others wouldn't use no matter what. Personally, I've used glass on a few of mine, but, I don't use it on many of my pieces. Len
  8. Monti, you've pretty much covered the feelings one gets after a visit to a MT, good job! Len
  9. Denny, it's a very nice piece. Len
  10. Jim, stick with what you have, you know nothing about that saw. It could be just cleaned up to look good. Len
  11. Good rule. Len
  12. DW, I know you can make a copy of any bill there is, as long as there is something written on it that states it's not real. That's not the point I was trying to get across, I was trying to point out that a fake dollar just won't sell as well as a real dollar will. People just don't want to put out $20.00-$30.00 for a fake dollar, but, for a real dollar they don't seem to mind. Len
  13. Very nice Randy, I think this is one of your best yet. Len
  14. Pete, it's a cute cutting, what's meant to go in the center? Len
  15. Dick, it's a gorgeous piece, he must be a real good friend. Len
  16. Very nice, and oh so good looking. Len
  17. DW, I know you mean well, but, I don't think a fake dollar would sell as well as a real buck. There's something with it being a real dollar, that makes the difference. Plus, with what Kevin's making off of each puzzle, it's cheap material to work with. Len
  18. Way to go Dick, does your wife realize how lucky she is? Sure your lucky to, you have her. Len
  19. Dick, you have a very fortunate friend, I would love to own this piece. You did a fantastic job mating up all of the pieces, and the colors are right on. Len
  20. I love it, and I think most men would! You say you've had this pattern for a long time, what finally made you brave enough to cut it? I'll have to look into buying a copy of this pattern, just for my wife. Len
  21. Very nice cutting Monti, it kind of reminds me of a poinsettia. Len
  22. Kevin, what do you use for the backer on the dollar puzzle? Len
  23. Steve, why are you so anxious to get this query closed down? Iggy asked for opinions, just because he got 2-3 of them doesn't mean that he's got them all. If you think a subject is going on longer than it should, then all you have to do is stop reading that posting. Len
  24. Personally, I don't like the look of the blue tarp. Plus, I think your missing out on one important bit of info. These puzzles are made on a scroll saw, that should be info that is included on the sign. Yes, I know you have a picture of a scroll saw, but, that's not the same thing as saying it. What about a sign that goes something like this; Handcrafted by Scott, Scroll Sawed Animal puzzles, and your contact info on the last line. I know it doesn't mention handmade or handsawn, but, the Handcrafted by Scott pretty much already lets one know that. Len
  25. Delvaughn, three years in a row, congratulations, that's quite the accomplishment. Len
