  1. Nicely done Cliff, having your vision problems solved seems to have paid off. Len
  2. Helmut, there's nothing wrong with this one, I was just wondering how you did certain things like sanding. Len
  3. Helmut, what I'm asking, is why didn't you sand away the splinters left from the blade. Len
  4. WOW, what an outstanding bit of cutting, this is one of the most awesome pieces that I've ever seen. It definitely is one to be proud of, you got everything out of it that there was to get. Len
  5. Looking good Kevin, the heat must be unbearable there. Len
  6. I use the FD Polar #5 for most of my compound cutting now, I used to use the two-way blades. Len
  7. There's a rumor that it's almost impossible to get Delta replacement parts, do you suppose that's part of the problem? Len
  8. Kevin, there's some exceptional cuttings sitting there. You did a fantastic job on all of them, you must like being busy. Len
  9. Denny, they look great, I like how you've adapted them to stand rather than hang. Len
  10. Denny, it's an outstanding piece, and you had the perfect piece of wood to make it out of. Len
  11. Ralph, that's a great looking sign. I noticed that you positioned the Yankees over the top of the Sox, how's your brother going to like that? Len
  12. Nicely done Denny, the colored water really makes it pop. Len
  13. Helmut, that's a good looking coach, I was wondering when you were going to post a picture of it? Seeing this, has got me to thinking that I should cut one out for myself. I do have a question for you though, why wouldn't you sand it before you assembled it? It would be a lot easier to sand before assembly, simply because you can sand the pieces while they lay flat. Len
  14. Alex, sometimes on E-bay there's people selling used parts for these saws, you might want to check there. Do you know what part you need, or are you just guessing? I have a few new parts here, and I'm not all that crazy about selling them. But, if I have the exact part you need, I suppose I could part with it if it would get you up and running. Let me know what part it is, and I'll let you know if I have one to spare. Len
  15. Ian, if your a competent cutter, you should be able to cut coins with any (variable) speed scroll saw. I used to cut coins with a small 16" Delta variable speed scroll saw,it did a great job. It's more like Paul has stated, you should be checking into which blade would be best to use? Len
  16. Denny, one blade per birdhouse, that's not much cutting out of a blade. When I cut them out, I can usually get two to three birdhouses per blade. Most of the ones I've cut were made from either pine or poplar and cedar, none of which are considered hardwoods. So, maybe that makes a difference in amounts cut. Len
  17. Joe, I know what you can do with it, stick a address label on it and send it my way. Len
  18. Alex, it's quite possible that the blade wobble, isn't a problem with the blade holder. These saws have special bolts that they pivot on, plus a flat connector rod at the rear of the saw. These parts are all on the interior of the saw, and they all wear out with normal use. I think that if you check the pivot points out, you'll find that that is where the wobbles come from. I've owned two of these saws over the years, they worked great. But, after so much use, these pivot point bushings and bolts needed to be changed. If you try using a heavy grease on these points, it should help solve some of the wobble problems, The only thing though, is that doing this is just a quick short lasting fix. The only thing that will give you satisfaction, is to install all new bolts and bushings. I'm not to sure if the parts needed to solve these issues, are still available. The last time I ordered them, I couldn't get all that I wanted. I'm sorry to say, but,I think you were sold a boat anchor. Len
  19. Nicely done Todd, both pieces look good. I had to laugh when I first saw the Relic's one, just because of what it reminded me of. The Penny's sign, that's a good NFLD name.I look forward to seeing both pieces when finished, they should look outstanding. Len
  20. Steve, that's a great bit of scrolling, it looks fantastic. Len
  21. John, your son did an outstanding job, there was a lot of detail work involved in bringing this all together. Len
  22. Nicely done Matt, you did a great job on the shaping part. Len

  24. Tony, I agree with the others, they're asking for to much money for this saw. Len
  25. Good on you Tony, it's easy to see why your getting to be so popular. Len
