Yep you are using cheap plywood from the big box store if you count the layers in different plywood you will see the difference. Don't buy birch plywood from the big box store either.

You might think of using plexiglass instead OD glass. Don't have to worry about breaking if some butter finger drops it.

Well my thought. I learned this from Steve Good on his free patterns. ( give credit where credit is due) You could place a 1/8 piece or thinner between the frame and the backing. Which would cause a slot to slide the cert. In and out. If these are going to hang on the wall mount the hangers on the outside edge or you could use a small amount of epoxy in the center of your backer board.good luck.

Yeah like Dan said are you using spiral blades? Do you have your speed the highest it will go? Turn it down. The thicker the wood the higher stroke per minute that also goes for hard wood. If you use pine ( soft) turn the speed down. Now how is your tension on you blade if it has a lot of slack in it it will cause you to wonder ( zigzag) so make sure you tention is tight.the last thing is try not to push your wood to hard against your blade let the blade do the work.this all takes practice you will get the hang of it.Karl

Hello all, I had a problem with Avast anti virus blocking me from this site and contacted Travis and he said that some people turn off their anti virus. Well I contacted Avast and told them this is a good site and that the owner has checked his site and found nothing wrong. Well I received a email and they told me they took care of it. so I am on the site with Avast running.

I personally dont like Esty. I have had an Item on there for several months I went on there as a regular Joe and typed in the description of the item And I could not find it. The only way I found it was to type in my name that I use on the site. I personally just sale my stuff on facebook. I added a page to my regular face book and have all my wood working there. And when a coworker or stranger ask I give them my Facebook name and I accept them as friends. Then when I finish something I post it and useally some one will want it. And I end up making a few . Sorry I can't give you better advice on Esty.

That Esty is a joke I have an item going on 2 months. I went on there as a regular person and typed in the thing I had on there and I could not find it. I had to type my name in to find it. Don't waste your time on there.

Well for teak oil I would use a spray bottle or get a plastic bowl with a air tight lid and dunk you pieces in it. As for varnish you will want to have a lot of pieces to varnish at once, cause it is kinda a pain to get it all set up just for one item. Clean up after word is kinda a pain but it will leave a really nice finish. You will want to thin the varnish to run it through a airbrush. If it is oil base you will thin it with paint thinner start 50/50 raito . If it is water base thin it with water

Yeah I am bad when it comes to pricing my stuff so before I put it on facebook I ask the wife and her sister what to charge. I have family all over the country and most of the time someone will buy what I post. Think about it... Someone is always having a birthday , having a baby..... so on. If something dont sell I will pack it away and eventully give it away. The yarn holder that I posted over in the bragging forum, I sold 3 sheep on facebook and my sister asked me if I could make a horse. yep Thats how I sc(roll) .
